Lovely course and clubhouse. There had been horrendous rain for a few days so we were blessed with dry weather and sunshine but many of the bunkers were full of rainwater. Better signage directing visitors to next tee necessary. Food was really lovely and no long wait for it either. Locker room and facilities were comfortable and very clean. Pro shop was well stocked and very inviting. Played an Open here in May 25. Very welcoming club with a great course with lots of variety and in super nick. Well worth a visit Beautiful golf course with some very testing holes for the average golfer A group of 16 avid golfers booked a round here recently. From start to finish, one can only praise the staff, the course, the restaurant staff. We can't sing their praises highly enough. Really, really worth a round on this fabulous course and of course they also organised a beautiful sunny day for us to play. Where else would you get that!! 52 New Ross Seniors had their Annual outing here on Monday 14th April 25 and once again, were treated to a magnificent turned out course plus the fabulous food served upstairs after. I was really looking forward to enjoying a leisurely game on what I’ve heard is a beautiful course, but my group and I were rushed through nearly the entire round. Despite the fact that we were all playing at a reasonable pace (we all hit around ten over), we were constantly pressured to speed up. What made it worse was that other groups had clearly skipped the line in front of us, but instead of addressing this issue, the staff seemed more concerned with hurrying us along. This lack of consideration really took away from what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable experience. A golf course is supposed to be a place where you can take your time and enjoy the game, but that’s not what we found at Dungarvan. Also, we were told that having 2 sets of golf clubs between 4 people was illegal but unfortunately we are young and financially not as set as others, we were told if we did not hurry up we would be had to be dragged off which made us feel slightly intimidated. I don’t want this review to be an overall depiction of the experience at this golf club because this could be a once off but we all do play regularly and this has never happened before. I never leave reviews but I felt I had to say something. Sorry for the long review but there was a lot to digress.
