Colligan Wood Walks

We did not plan to visit Colligan Wood, but was recommended to us as a stroller friendly place while we were in the area (on holiday). It was not constantly easy to push a stroller buy we made it work. With a number of different routes, Colligan Wood is stunning and most definitely a place I would recommend anyone to visit! Nice little 3.5km loop. Woods are really nice. Great for a family or with the dog Lovely spot, amazing to with dogs and children. Easy and more difficult loops are all available. Just wonderful. It’s the wonderful place for walking. From the entrance you can go to the right side, the way takes you about 20 minutes along the river and through the wood. The road then turns left, making a loop and returning to the exit on the left side. All way is about 40 minutes and 5000 steps. But there are a lot of different ways there also too. Beautiful woods with lovely and picnic area Lovely place all year round but especially at Autumn A very nice if you want to do around 6 km in a wood. Lovely river nearby and a decent effort uphill. This is a great way to get back to nature there is 3 separate walking trails very easy to navigate picnic tables and some fab views, kids loved and waded around in the river, also dog friendly Wonderful place except for the entrance to over bridge which is too narrow for my electric wheelchair acess Could not manage on my own without help Really enjoyed this, plenty of different routes to and I'd say a great running spot as well.
