Gorgeous forest. We were lucky with the weather, warm and sunny, since there are a lot of pine trees in the forest, there was a feeling of a holiday, Christmas and Easter at the same time :) Beautiful forest that makes you feel in touch with nature. Amazing views and scenery. Not commercialised in any way. Take the family or the dog. I guarantee you everyone will enjoy the walk. Make sure you make your way to the old hostel. The kids will love exploring this forest especially crossing the stream on rocks! Drive in slowly as the potholes are bad! A really nice place, with a large car park, a few benches, and a lady selling coffee. I chose the green trail and it took me about 1h 45min. There aren’t many benches along the trail, but the itself is very enjoyable. It must be even more beautiful when the rhododendrons are in bloom. I definitely recommend this place! Wonderful here this afternoon. The weather of course made the as it was 17°. It was great to see people out walking and enjoying themselves. It was also great to see the kids running and enjoying the wonderful surroundings after such a long hard lockdown. It's really beautiful with a river that flows through it....definitely worth a look if you are visiting Co. Tipperary. Great place to enjoy the woods & nature in the vallley carved by the calming sounds of the flowing Burncourt stream. Try the 7km Millenium if able that takes you through some of the oaks planted as part of the Y2K project to increase natural woods reforestation. Some of the way pointers are obscured by foliage or faded so best keep keen watch at trail crossroads. Otherwise an easy route to follow The nicest in the woods one can have! There are so many possible routes you can take, you could be walking for hours. The river is so clean and there are plenty of places you can stop and soak your feet. Beautiful all year round. Plenty of flowers blooming at different times. If you further, you can get to the mountains but it is quite a hike. Definitely recommend. Beautiful at any time of the year Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
