Can find very old rocks dated thousands of years ago. Interesting rocky beach with historical cairnes. Beautiful coastline. It became the first UNESCO Global Geopark in the Nordics in 2008. When ocean is calm and sun is shining; then there are so many other places to enjoy in the region (sandy beaches and cold beer).. but when weather is bad and nowhere to go then this is the place.. Here you see the power of nature. Btw, the viking history is also one reason to visit this place.. but Larvik was full of vikings all over so no reason to just go here.. Ancient site of grave mounds, mentioned in the Icelandic Sagas. Please 🙏 do not climb on the graves or take from here! Respect our ancestors and history! When we visit you, we don't steal from your holy sites, or jump up and down on your graves. The will roll down and disappear, I was here 20 years ago and the mounds were so much bigger. The history of the beach is interesting as well. It's easy to find, plenty of parking as well. Sunset/ Sunrise are stunning. Stones, and stones.
