It is freezing cold even in summer, taking a swim is not recommended unless you do not mind the cold. There is a mountain housing with lodging next to it and running springs nearby with fresh for drinking. The shorter is too steep, 7km from village Nizepole. Plenty of springs for on this route. The longer from the entrance of the national park near Hotel Molika is about 20km and you can visit the highest peak Pelister (2601m asl) on that and the Small Lake. There are three stops on this but only to about half way to the peak, after that prepare your supplies. From the peak there are 8km to the Great (Golemo Ezero). In between is the small lake, much closer to the peak. There is also a mountain road all the way to the Greater for off road jeeps.
