Rörstrand Museum AB

Lidköping, Sweden Museum

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Porcelain that recently reopened. Previously there was a lot more dishes by their most famous artists whereas I now perceived it to be more show-pieces and a homage to the rich history of Rörstrand. Liked the detachable descriptions where you could read a bit more about the pieces. 60 SEK entry fee (or 100 SEK for full-year access). Got a small cafe with ridiculous prices. But it’s supporting the so it’s OK. Free lockers for jackets and bags. Swedish cultural museum. Good of the Swedish porcelain. There is also a shop, but it did not have any interesting or particularly beautiful plates or cups. A fascinating look at the history and achievements of one of Sweden's best known firms, now sadly foreign owned and its production moved abroad. Closed because of COVID-19!! ——————————————— This info was missing on their website or “hidden”. Rather disappointing after a two hour drive. The parking signs was really confusing. Hope it will be great when it opens next year Ett av de vackraste och stilrena museerna jag någonsin varit på. Det är inte stort men det är riktigt fint iaf. Not as big as I expected but we'll organised. However, they really need to get some signs up since it is surprisingly difficult to find if you don't know the area. Inte så stort, men ändå väldigt intressant. Bäst var de olika montrarna med porslin genom tiderna, från början av 1700-talet till i dag. Man kan även lära sig hur arbetet går till, och det finns ett litet café i anslutning till museet. Uninterupted ceramic production since 1726 on show - hard to beat ! Välordnat, intressant och informativt. Väl värt ett besök. Sehr schönes Porzellan. Man kann entspannt durch die Ausstellung schlendern... es gibt einen Fabrikverkauf. Ein Kaffee rundet den Aufenthalt ab. A well-curated company that covers the history of crafting, designing and distributing the famous Lidköping ceramics and porcelain products. A comprehensive approach to the craft, the art and the industry, bi-lingual exhibition texts and a nice store. One of the highly recommendable museums in these parts of lake Vänern. Intressant och mycket gammalt porslin och lite nytt. A good collections of porcelain and also a place that tells history & process of creating porcelain vessels. Muy interesante. Conoces a fondo el proceso de fabricación y diseño de la cerámica Interesting 🏰🤗 Great where you learn about the history of this once fine Swedish pottery/ceramics factory; fortunately, Rörstrand are still producing and there's even a shop around the corner where you can buy their beautifully made crockery from dinner plates to porcelain dishes + mugs, tea sets.
