What magical place to give birth! The moment I entered the cosy, homey feeling birthing house, I knew this was where I want to bring my baby to this world! How lucky I feel thinking back that we got a spot here and could experience such a natural, empowering but supported birth! The baby and I didn’t want to leave this place since they all took such good of us and the food was incredible (who can say that from a classic hospital birth, hm? ;)) I wish more women knew about this place and could have a magical instead of traumatising birthing experience! I was lucky enough to be able to give to my first son at the Geburtshaus in September. It has been a wonderful experience both for me and my partner: we felt supported, reassured and competently assisted. We believe our son too appreciated the loving cares of all the Hebamme, the quite and friendly environment of the house and the tasty food. Run away!!! I've had the worst experience ever, they never wanted to prepare me for birth, always telling me "don't worry, we will coach you during birth" which didn't happen. During the birth, they waited too long before bringing me at the hospital so I had to go... By taxi! With the baby head down! I might be very unlucky but I had 2 midwives, Ruth and Simone who were really uncaring and leaving me without coaching. I had much more support and coaching from the midwife when I arrived at Uster Spital. Just unbelievable! I wish there were enough words to describe how grateful we were for helping us bring our little girl in such a peaceful and joyful environment. It wasn't just about the midwives ,but also the cleaning ladies who made sure the rooms were perfect and sometimes making some time for a small talks.What about the cook who makes delicious meals with lots of vital nutrients .Geburtshaus Bäretswil gave me exactly what i was looking for, "The warmth of a whole village, that equiped me with the right tools easing the transitioning from a family of 4 to a family of 5". Thank you Family Hugi (2022, winterthur) Amazing place. I couldn’t be happier and can’t imagine giving anywhere else. The support I was given during my long and complicated birthday and also postpartum was just incredible. Every single midwife was very helpful and with her own tips and advice regarding breastfeeding and postpartum care. Highly recommend! I wish I was a baby again, so I could also stay there. They took great of us, great food, really relaxed and calm atmosphere. The staff is competent explains the steps they take and always ask for your permission. A great place that we can mostly recommend. That is why we came here again with our second child. Thanks a lot :-) Such a lovely place. Great staff. We had an amazing time with our new borh❤️ I'm going to write this in English for those expecting mothers who might be considering giving here but whose native language is not German. My first language is English and I'm still very much learning German and I will admit that I was nervous to give in a country where I might not understand what is going on around me, which would be the case in a hospital or house. That being said, I am so very thankful that I didn't let that stop me from choosing to give here. I cannot recommend this house enough! Despite being away from "home" in a new land, I felt so very much at home here. The language wasn't a problem at all. The midwives are excellent. Warm and professional. Thanks to their and the environment they set up, I was totally able to relax and, dare I say, enjoy the birth. It was an extremely empowering experience. And the Wochenbett was excellent too. I feel that I recovered so much quicker after this than my first and I credit that to the given during my stay there. The food is excellent, the midwives are so helpful and knowledgable and there for you 24/7 and all that the mother is left to do is rest, snuggle her baby and rest some more. If you are considering a natural or even just the Wochenbett, I would highly recommend you look into their care.
