If you travel from Zürich by train, go first to Kreuzlingen (1 hour trip, right at the border). Then change trains and in 2 minutes you will have reached the Tägerwilen-Gottlieben train station (make sure to press the stop button beforehand; otherwise the train won't stop). From the train station you need to walk about 15-20 minutes and then you will have reached the café, right next to the Rhine River. The tea and the cake I ordered were delicious and there are also products you can buy. I recommend their signature product, the "Hüppen" (rolled crèpe biscuits). There is a ice cream waggon in the terrace and everybody needs to go there by themselves. The service on the terrace is somehow slow. They bring the beverage and food (except the ice cream). For payment, you have to go inside to the cashier. The exhibition of the special chocolates they provide, is very small.
