This cafe is amazing, well worth a visit especially if your a music fan, when yoi walk in look up. The place is full of wonderful memorabilia of, some ofnthe greatest music artists and the cofdis dam good. Cool, very atmospheric and full of the Beatles posters "Sam's Bar" of Volendam 👌😊🍻 As a foreigner in Volendam this is the nicest place in town where I felt at home from the very first time I was here. Amazing and welcoming staff, great music, excellent selection of beers. All with a lovely view over the harbour. All in all just a great place to be 👌❤️👍 We ordered two cheese toasts and the bread was stiff, hard to eat and it had few cheese. The cappuccinos were nothing special. Also , the atmosphere and the service were average. Great little bar. Food tasty and well priced, beer nice, staff very pleasant. De man des huizes hier heeft zelfs een keer of 3 opgetreden in Lennon’s met zijn punkband , in het rijke verleden van deze pub! Hahahah Dit is ook zo’n juweel op de Dijk . (Of moet ik zeggen een parel?) The barman is nice, the owner is disoriented and rude. This was despitethe bar being empty. Asked for tap water 3 times and he gave pre-opened bottles of water. When it came time for the bill he just named a number and refused to give an itemized bill. Avoid. Made a stop during our short visit to Volendam and found a hidden gem! I was able to take a few placemats back to Canada with me and had them laminated so they would never fade nor tear.
