As someone who grew up in big city, I enjoyed staying in a country side of France. However... the university’s course quality is so poor. Some instructors do not have PhD, and their “real” jobs are not researcher or any academic job. They are just some random bureau workers of local public organization or private sectors. I thought they were joking. I thought these random instructors were assistants who help professors give a course. But they are seriously letting these random instructors give a course. Why? Why does that happen? Because they don’t have resource to find the appropriate professors. Yes, they do have a financial problems since 2010s. That’s why they cannot provide a “university-level” courses. I’m so happy that I did not choose here to graduate... I know tons of students (especially in LLSH and gestion) leave this university because of the quality of courses. People who graduated here seemed struggling to find the well-paid and stable job. (Actually Orléans does not have anything but the factories that are owned by foreign companies.)
