Well... if you get the combined ticket with Meug-sur-loire (which is much more better for me) and if you were planning to pass by then it worths. Otherwise it is a bit too small, not a lot to see for the price. The discount tickets are still not cheap. The cool thing is their VR applications on tab for free that allow you to see the castle as it was in the old time. Great interactive / immersive experience. Not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. The 3D laser room is fun and a great way to see new technology in an old chateau, we had our cooking class organise here and what a great way to cook up a storm. Beautiful castle with an amazing light exhibition. One of the best I’ve seen. Outstanding experience - highly recommended. We had to sit down in the courtyard afterwards just to mentally wind down. The immersive experience started a little slow, and to be honest I was feeling a little let down by the introductory room, then from the very next room through the entire chateau/castle our senses were totally slammed and stimulated continuously, in a good way. Just dive in and give in to the whole process. Oh, and if you have kids, even nihilistic teens, they will love this. It’s exciting! As a foreigner, it was a lot of fun visiting the castle and walking through the light show. Gave me chills! Beautiful garden as you exit Beaugency. 🌷 The staff is very friendly, the gift shop is very cute, and the ice cream they served was refreshing on a hot, summer day. Really unique experience - brilliant digital art installation that gave a completely different experience to visiting one of the Loire’s chateaus. Whilst the exhibition is there (in particular - we’ve not visited without) would wholeheartedly recommend a visit.
