Very beautiful place to visit, nature time! Visited on mid January 2023, very quieter and nice. You can park your car at the entrance next to the road, but the capacity is not high. The lake is very small, and you don’t have a hard long hike and walk around it. But if you’re up to hiking, you can take it to the outer areas and follow the path next to road. Definitely worth it to spend few hours on nature. Great concealed spot to sunbathe and walk the dogs. There you can spent some time and enjoy a walk. Be advised that the parking lot is a little small. From the landscape point of view, this place is just amazing. Perfect place for a hike, a bike ride or just walk around! Unfortunately, due to the lack of maintenance and also disrespectful visitors, the place is a mess, poorly maintained and with garbage everywhere. Peaceful and beautiful place 🌞 One of Sintra's hidden gems, it's a beautiful lagoon, surrounded by deep woods and trails to explore. A mixture of park with trails and a lagoon (not sure one may swim on it as there are ducks and other birds) some dirty around. Sand ground where people do picnics but not much grass. Still a nice place to visit and spend a few minutes. Lovely place to take a break from all the driving between busy tourist attractions. Quiet, peaceful and a good opportunity to explore a bit of the forest. Easy to spot fish and turtles in the water. The place would be ideal picnic but it is extremely poorly maintained. There is glass on the floor and garbage everywhere. We went with the kids and could not relax. Its a real shame cos if it would be maintained a little it would be a fabulous spot.
