Restaurant Velia (Traditional Food)

Përmet, Albania Family restaurant

One of the Best Places To Visits in Bodar Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. We happened to find this place by pure chance while passing through, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The hospitality was genuinely heartwarming, and the food was absolutely delicious, homemade, traditional, and full of flavor. Every single dish we tried was great. Without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences we had in Albania. Highly recommended! At the beginning I didn’t believe the 5 stars but after we tried it. I can confirmed this place is so much of the 5 star standard. the food is so delicious and the price is sooo good for the value. By far, the BEST place to eat in Albania and we were going to places 5 times more expensive and with way lower quality…. This restaurant is amazing, amazing food, very welcoming couple, all the dishes recommendations were a treat in every bite! From the soups, salads, specialties! I can’t recommend this enough! The fruit, vegetables and sweets are all from them, and with amazing quality. Sadly the street was a bit dark, and it wasn’t easy to spot at first, but it’s clear which house it is, please try and see it for yourself! I know you won’t regret it 👌 If you've been to Permet and are heading back towards Vlora, make sure to visit this place. As for the cuisine, it's truly home-cooked food in every sense of the word. The lady prepares the food on the spot, so you’re guaranteed freshness. It's like visiting a friend. Despite the language barrier, you’ll have no problem communicating. If her son is there, you can speak in English. The prices are incredibly low for what you get. Just remember: this isn’t a fancy place, but an authentic Albanian home. If you're looking for this kind of experience, you'll find it here. Very warm welcome, great food and very good home made wine and Raki! :-) We had to try traditional Albanian food on our first night and Natasha's kitchen was a great choice! There is not even a one not good thing you can say about this place! Owners are full of love for every customer and pay a lot of attention to satisfy your needs! Even though sometimes they need to flex in order to understand each foreigner, you are always feeling welcome and cared for! However, the best thing is the food :) local products, homemade with heart and good taste! Prices are way too low for the perfection this restaurant stands out with! I was here 3 years ago in this tiny restaurant, run by an old couple. The did not speak english but they showed us the kitchen and we agreed with our hands that we want to try everything. It is hard to decide as every piece looks so delicious. And it was, every byte was more than delicious. The best food I ate in my 3 visits Albania. You will not regret. A true hidden gem! This cozy little spot, run by a sweet and passionate Albanian lady, was one of the highlights of our trip. Surrounded by chickens, cocks, and a few friendly cats, the atmosphere is warm and authentic. The fërgesë was the best we had in Albania, and the homemade red wine was excellent. She treated us like family and even brought a free homemade dessert. Pure hospitality and incredible food — highly recommended!
