Nice location. However no toilets and a lack of bins so lots of litter and human waste as a result. God only knows what all the visitors are using for Toilets. Some in the carpark but have been closed for years Come on Council you can do better than this Crayfishing It was a muddy bog with no clearly defined paths, barbed wire for our dog to narrowly avoid getting snagged in several places and locked gates preventing people getting further along the route. Very disappointing. area to look around, how boating equipment or go to the pub. Free easy access slip way or steps to enter the canal with a paddle board etc Really place to come for a walk, picnic, pedalo etc! Came on a sunny day and it was really lovely. Nice walking paths, very flat too. Lots of grassy areas to sit or close to the town which had a few pubs and restaurants. Next to the Riverside pub you can hire big swan pedalos, canoes and kayaks etc. There are car parks nearby, not far to to the centre of it all. We parked in Lechlade Riverside car park which had plenty of space and is less than a 5 minute through a field to the river. Can't wait to visit again soon! Ordered 2 meals, bit disappointed, chips had been reheated and the eggs had been overcooked, believe this was due to the business of customers. It is truly a place by the river, and I will return as I believe today was an exception to the rule. The Riverside Park area near Lechlade is a beautiful area for walks along the Thames and around the environs. We like to star here our kayak trips. It is close to the Thames and we always find space for our car. It is also nice start for a along Thames. Riverside Cotswold is a charming little gem nestled in the heart of the countryside. I recently visited and found it to be a truly relaxing and delightful spot, perfect for a peaceful day out or a weekend getaway. It’s a cozy place to unwind with a hot drink or a light snack while enjoying the view. The staff were friendly and the service was warm and welcoming. Overall, Riverside Cotswold is a place to relax and soak in the natural beauty of the Cotswolds. While it’s not overly grand, it’s got a special charm that makes you want to return. Brilliant scenery and fantastic along the river. Loads on offer with the shops, restaurants, pubs and activities for the family on the river. Parking can fill up quickly so get there early and your best to set up the mobile parking app PayByPhone before going to save time and effort. Small pay and display car park is a short from the Thames though a park. You can join the Thames Path and enjoy the walks upriver or down river.
