Just love this place. Every time I'm in Chippenham it's a must stop in along with Eadswock Country store. Choice is amazing, no generic store products. Real artisan products, meat, deli, cheese, fruit and veg, plus much more. Very friendly staff. Plus attached cafe is first class. Super Lovely farmshop and cafe We popped in for a treat and were happy with the experience. We ordered the falafel vegetarian burger and a classic burger—both arrived promptly, were freshly made, and full of flavour. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the service was efficient throughout. The place is clean, welcoming, and has a lovely atmosphere, with a tempting display of cakes that caught our eye. There’s also a specials board, so we’ll definitely be back to try more. There is certainly an extensive option for lunch es and baguettes through to burgers etc and lots of choice for vegetarians. It obviously gets busy and we understand that sometimes there is a little wait but it is worth it. The adjoining is full of high-quality treats—on the pricier side though. All in all, a great spot for lunch or dinner, and highly recommended. Warm wishes, Lyndon S. Lovely place. Parsnip & coconut soup was perfect. Lovely bread & butter with it. Large choice of teas. Easy access from Chippenham bypass. Very quick service. The produce here is incredible. The range of quality goods is endless. It's not cheap, but that's not what you're signing up for at shops. Some things are exceptionally expensive (is £3.85 for a can of flavoured kambucha normal? Hand-crafted artisan chocolates @ £1 per bite 😱), but the selection from proper english apple juice and locally baked cakes to a butchers, fresh baked bread and impressive selection of fruit and veg will be appreciated by any foodie. The little garden centre part is also good, with a small selection of interesting plants and an eclectic little with a jumble of new and second hand bits and pieces. Great Food. I was surprised to see the place almost full and quite busy around 11 am on a Saturday. The service was good and the food was decent, but it was more expensive than I expected. It’s a decent spot to stop by for brunch or a meal if you're passing through, but I wouldn’t recommend it. 분위기에 비해 꽤 비쌈. 굳이 안들러도될듯 Nice if you can get in but too many dogs It’s very interesting place. Stopped by for a quick lunch. Easy to find at J 17 of the M4. Well worth the diversion for a superb home made quiche and Latte. Food and sandwiches looked good but also a very extensive blackboard menu choice Great and service to round up the visit Great selection of fresh produce. The cheese and deli counter is staffed by knowledgeable and friendly staff. A wide range of products and a lovely small selection of gifts and homeware. More expensive compared to standard supermarket prices but the produce is better quality than generic supermarket stock. Brilliant which includes a massive collection of the unusual & interesting homemade food. Lovely collection of gifts and drinks including a great butchery department. I could stay in there for hours. We always look for a when we’re driving any distance and Allington was a great find. Just a few miles south off J17 on the M4 this is a lovely place to drop into whether a breakfast, coffee and pastry or a lunch or even just to mooch around a fantastic deli and shop. Very friendly, warm and incredibly comfy seating, this will now be a regular stop off from now on. Update - unfortunately Allington don't seem to read reviews or handle complaints/feedback. Decided to visit again only to find the van still blocking a disabled space. Unfortunately, all other spaces taken so went elsewhere. Disappointed to see a local business support ableism. Can't fault the cafe and staff there, but the experience on arrival in the car park did not reflect well. My husband is disabled and all the spaces were taken apart from two which were being blocked by a fish van. Having got the attention of the guy sat in the driver's seat, he just basically waved his hand dismissively when we showed a blue badge. After the third time, he opened his window and we stated that we needed to park in the space due to a disability. His response was "this is my spot every week" promptly followed by him closing his window. Appreciate that he may have a spot every week, but is it really necessary to take up two of the spaces that are limited for people with disabilities? May seem trivial to him, but sometimes leaving the house can be quite a daunting experience. To then be dismissed and ignored has caused great distress. We did speak to a member of staff in the cafe who assured us this would be passed on. Unfortunately this experience has made it very unlikely we will return if Allington is associated with such ignorant people.
