Gorgeous place, that needs to be visited when you are near Vaslui. There is a wonderful panoramic view from the top. A lot of history is here! Will come back more! Monumentul de la Podul Înalt a fost ridicat, inițial, la 1975, la sărbătorirea a 500 de ani de la victoria obținută de Ștefan cel Mare la 10 ianuarie 1475 în bătălia de la Vaslui. Statuia ecvestră a domnitorului domină întreaga zonă. Acces ușor, liber. S-au efectuat lucrări de reparații și întreținere. Frumos ! Marking the spot of bloody medieval battle, the statue is on the right side of the road from Vaslui to Iasi There is too much history here, in a good way, but as always, nobody is really taking care of it. 'The Battle of Vaslui (also referred to as the Battle of Podul Înalt or the Battle of Racova) was fought on 10 January 1475, between Stephen III of Moldavia and the Ottoman governor of Rumelia, Hadım Suleiman Pasha. The battle took place at Podul Înalt (the High Bridge), near the town of Vaslui, in Moldavia (now part of eastern Romania). The Ottoman troops numbered up to 120,000, facing about 40,000 Moldavian troops, plus smaller numbers of allied and mercenary troops.' Great historical place 6 metre statue of Stefan cel mare on the road to Vaslui. Lots of steps up to it. Top has fallen into a bit of disrepair but still a nice statue and fire at top is nice touch. Frumos loc Great place with a very big importance in Moldova's and Romanian history. To bad that the place is not illuminated at night. Amazing piece of history for this part of Romania. Highly recommend if in the area! Un obiectiv turistic care merita vizitat. Puteți vedea machete după unele cetăți moldovenești. Cei mici vor fi cuceriți. It lacks accessibility, but it's a nice landscape.
