If you want to have hearty lunch you need to stop in Nikola. The food is good, you will find most popular Lithuanian dishes. Well made, the meat from their own farm. The rise will be so so, but this problem you will find mostly in all Lithuanians restaurants. Always good to left a place for improvement! One of those places that are a must stop if you are on your way to the beach. It's on the highway that goes to Klaipeda and it serves a local sweet called spurgos. It's a donut shaped sweet that is made of a mass with cheese (varškė). It tastes similar to a donut but with a different texture. You can find spurgos everywhere but here they are fresh with batches being made all the time. This place is famous for spurgos (some kind of donut), everyone orders them, while passing by this cafe. Chicken Kiev cutlet was just wonderful, though beef meals are always fresh and really recommended. Kitchen works quite quickly and everyone gets served on time. Coffee is nice too, which you can take away Not the best, had to wait just a little too long for a road stop cafe, and the food was oily/fatty. Ordered crepes with beef, they cane deep fried (not mentioned). Also they brought out the donuts first, so by the time the mains came they were cold. Thank you for providing vegan and vegetarian options. The Lithuanian vegetarian menu seems to have a lot of options. I asked for an English menu and under vegetarian there were fewer options which included just soy steak. I went to ask what's vegan. The lady taking the order wasn't very talkative and didn't go out of her way to present me with options. She said they can remove milk from the mushroom sauce over the soy steak and the dish will be vegan. I took it and I was positively surprised. I was worried that their soy steak would be dry and it was super juicy and moist. The dish was simple but very tasty. Please add labels about what is or could be made vegan and make the menu uniform in English and Lithuanian. The food was a bit too oily for my taste, but the spurgas (type of donut) was the best I have ever had. I have been told it's the best in Lithuania which would not surprise me at all. It is definitely worth a try if you are nearby. Four stars in the Lithuanian Motorway café category. Above average.. Food is traditionel, well made, but nothing fancy. Good toilets, fair prices. Bar is nice and hey have butchers inside. only grass fed beef wild grown from Klaipeda. 100km radius Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
