If you are at Simsjön then take a walk from the lake or drive here and stop at the huge parking space and a walk through this old replica village. It's a small historical site packed with Swedish history. There are signs detailing the Swedish army and its kings if you prefer to wander at your own pace. The views are stunning from this place. A small quaint little place with a lot of history about Sweden. Normally theres an old man doing guided tours there but there are also signs where you can read about the swedish army, kings etc. After your visit you can go take a swim in Simsjön lake beneath. Heeft ook wel weer zijn charme... Ett undangömt ställe längst in på vägen, tyvärr är det kraftigt eftersatt i form av skötsel av gräsytor och annat runt husen. Inget av husen var upplåsta vilket gjorde att man inte fick se vad som fanns inuti, när vi kikade in genom fönstren såg vi att det var fullt möblerat och med ”människor”. The whole area around the lake is beautiful. There are several good hikes circling the lake and takes you into the forest. It's a popular place in the summer with lots of people from Skövde going here for a swim and sunbathe. Synd att det håller på att förfalla. Hoppas fler upptäcker denna vackra historiska miljö.
