Eine besondere Gegend mit einer 5-7 tsd Jahre andauernden Siedlungsgeschichte Ekornavallen is a part of the cultural road in Skaraborg County that stretches through many interesting places and attractions that reflect the region's history and culture. It's a fantastic way to explore the area's cultural heritage. Here at this place, you can find features burial remains from the three main periods of prehistory: the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age. The oldest grave was constructed during the Neolithic period around 3300 BC, while the youngest were built during the so-called Viking Age. It's definitely worth visiting. Many different types of historical graves and burial sites on the same place. These are clearly visible and have informative signs. Good walking paths, free parking on the other side of the road. What can you say about a field where humans have been burying humans for over 4000 years. Four thousand years. Stone age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age. It's quite a humbling site, both because of the current state. Not overly excavated. It's free to enter. It was just me and the sheep, and their sheep poop. The plaques are great to get an insight into the history, even if there isn't much to see above ground except for the big megalithic structure in the center and the Cairn at the far end of the property. You almost wish it was maintained somehow, but you also are in awe by the fact that is isn't maintained much. Lagom, but impressive. Old stone age graves in a beautiful pasture. Beautiful landscape with old tombstones used as decoration for memorial/ grave places. Kind and friendly animals to say hello to aswell! Historic place, but would have loved to have more English info or a QR code to a link online I had no idea that this place existed. If you like big rocks on fields, it is well worth a visit. The burial ground/cemetery was a great experience for the beginning of October. The English description was sufficient for us, but could have been more comprehensive. A German description was not available, as far as I remember. There is a lot to explore here. You just have to be a little careful where you step, as apparently goats also live in the meadow Spännande plats. Zum Beine vertreten auf jedenfall gut geeignet. An in Sweden almost unique site with tombs from the Neolithic, Bronze Age, and Iron Age. Atmospheric and beautiful! Historisk plats men drunknade i alla våra andra nedslag i vår historiska resa. Kunde varit bättre stigar men allt drevs nog av ideella krafter. Fårbeten att gå i. Personligen hade jag önskat mer info på skyltar då det inte var en plats jag hört om tidigare. Gravfält med grsvar från före vårvtideräkning frsm till 1000-talet Burial site dating back to the stone age. Great place for a history lesson. Large historical site with standing stones and gravehill. Very nice place for visiting old graves in the Swedish agricultural landscape. Perfect for a nice stroll. Information in Swedish and English. Interessant als je in de buurt bent. Amazing such old structures have survived millennia. I spend 2 hours and realized how much Falkoping has done to preserve it. It is free.
