I visited here with a guided tour as part of my quest to visit as many UNESCO heritage sites as possible. But you can visit here for free, although very hard to get to via public transport, changing metro from gesante then bus. Guided tour is only in italian though Here is some background. Founded in 1878, this UNESCO-listed village was designed as a self-contained community with homes, schools, a hospital, and even a cemetery—all provided by the factory owners. It represents one of Europe's most intact examples of an industrial-era "ideal worker's village." Truly worth the visit, an authentic experience of the industrial past of this city with a particular architectural style A steampunk experience This could be a splendid world heritage site but if is nonetheless badly neglected, most houses are closed to visitors and others have rare opening times. I am not sure this management still deserves the UNESCO status This company town is an interesting bit of history. You can take a walk through the town by yourself. On weekdays this is the only option. In the weekends you can also visit the factory but only on a guided tour. But.. the factory is currently empty as it is being redeveloped as a shared office space. Topical industrial town. Interesting to see to better understand life at the time when the village was constructed Very beautiful The Crespi d'Adda village, and its components which include the museum, offer the possibility to critically travel through time to understand the historical trends, beauty, and criticisms from the locals' perspective and to bring about interactive discourse. A worth seeing place. Unfortunatelly it was close at the time we were there. So it is important to check opening times within the season. It was absolutely great, we waited because we arrivederci early, but everything is really interesting, and it's a great place to spend some time together. Crazy crazy & stunning. Feel free to immerge in the past times and breathe it out 🙏❤️ Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
