I had an incredible experience at Damjanic Winery. We indulged in their selection of white wines, and I must say, the Malvazija blew me away with its fresh and floral notes—it's truly the best I've ever had. The Clemente Blanc was exceptional too, aged for a year in oak barrels, imparting a delightful vanilla flavor that was simply amazing. Additionally, Karlo's service was outstanding; his extensive knowledge about the led us to purchase six bottles. What a great location. A family run winery with excellent wines. The owner puts all his heart in but remains down to earth. We toured the winery, got outstanding background information both about the history of the family as well as the wine-making business. Afterwards, we enjoyed some of the wine sitting on the terrace in the Croatian sun. Came here on a rainy day and had a great time sampling and having a relaxing stay. The stunning interior design leaves you in a wonderful atmosphere where you get to appreciate the owner’s attention to detail. They offer a variety of from traditional grapes varieties like Malvazija. We bought a bottle for each colour but the highlight was the cheese board for 2. Local cheeses, focaccia and olive oil from the vineyard’s grounds. A lovely place! We came with no expectations and left with beautiful memories and our hands full! Anyone interested in experiencing an unforgettable afternoon and delicious needs to make this place a priority. We had the best of luck to be shown around by the owner. She told us everything about the history of the place, while the lovely Matea explained to us each of the six we tried. Three types of white and three black wines. If you have to try only one, try the Clemente Blanc! The whole space is very relaxing and friendly and the hosts balance perfectly between being friendly and yet leaving the guests to enjoy themselves. Loved it! Nice vineyard where you can either book a tasting (twice per day) or just pop in to have a glass on their lovely terrace. They were welcoming to our toddler 😊 We spent time here in July tasting all the delicious that were all very unique. The waitress was really kind to us and gave us just the perfect amount of information of each of the vines, it was very interesting. We had such a nice experience there, we had to come back a second time :) Also, every family member (with a different taste) purchased at least one bottle of their wines, so that just shows that there’s something for everyone. THE BEST. We have done many wine tastings throughout Istria but this one surpassed them all. Our lovely host took us through the entire process, spoke incredible English and made us feel very welcome. We sat on the beautiful sunny terrace enjoying different local meats and cheeses accompanied by top class wines. Overall a dreamy afternoon! We drove back from Porac and saw the winery sign. A beautiful tasting room in the countryside and even better wines. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable making good suggestions of what to try. Well worth a stop.
