When it comes to the best Turkish Cypriot restaurants on the island, Eminem is definitely on that list. This entertains all senses, as soon as you walk through the door. We were a group of 6 and opted for a set menu, and because of this choice the food kept on coming as we kept on smiling. The most basic of vegetables in the salad to the bread was absolutely unreal in flavour and texture, and this leads onto everything else we had that evening. The whole from the friendly staff, the amazing decor, the garden, the views, the food have created an amazing memory and a reason to want to return to the north side of the island! We had visited before and it was fine, but our last was absolutely terrible. First, we found hair in the meatball, then in the plate, and finally even in the bread. It was disgusting. When we asked for the chef, a Pakistani man came who spoke neither Turkish nor English, which made the situation even worse. Afterwards, the owner showed up with a mocking and arrogant attitude instead of apologizing. This was completely unacceptable. We will never come back again, and I strongly do not recommend this place to anyone. It was just ok. I have been here a few times before but, unfortunately, this time the food was below par. Many of the hot and cold starters were very nice, namely the tahın, cacık and hummus. The meat dishes were hit and miss, the şeftali kebab was a good flavour but not cooked that well and the lamb ribs were very fatty and chewy. If there is a next time, I will probably opt for a menu item rather than the meze deal. Good quality food, kind and friendly staff, perfect garden, delicious foods and mezes, Because of stairs are not available and suitable for people with wheelchair. Don’t forget to make a reservation specifically if you will go on weekends Literally just got home from this lovely and I must say the food was very very tasty compared to what I’ve had on the island on this trip and previous years. 2 adults and 4 children ate and finished our plates, although they don’t have a children’s menu you can still find something for your children. Nice setting with all tables set on a large terrace with either views down to sea or of the waterfall at the back, we sat at the back, as we hadn't booked I think you may need to book if you want a table looking down to sea. The food was excellent. There are several choices on the menu, but most seem to go for 1 of the 3 Meze choices. We went for number 2, which was plenty, including 9 cold meze dishes, bread, chips, salad, halloumi, sheftalia, chicken and lamb shish, adana, and a lamb chop. was absolutely full, not sure I could have managed the extra that comes with number 3 option. For 2 people, this with a couple of drinks each came to around £75 so good value too. Staff are friendly and attentive. There is a car park, we arrived at around 7:30 and was easy to park, but didn't seem it would be too easy to park if it was busy as was quite full when we left. You have to climb approx 50 steps from car park to so would not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Will definitely return. I've been visiting Northern Cyprus for 26 years. Over the last few years it's been getting harder and harder to find traditional, authentic Cypriot food. Most restaurants have started trying to cater to more western tastes. We found this after being recommended it by a local, always a good sign! It was, without a doubt, the best meal we've had on the island in several years. We all chose to have the Meze and every time we thought it had finished, more delicious food was delivered to our table. Absolutely a must visit if you're in the area. Highly recommend! We had dinner at Eminem in Çatalköy and it was a fantastic experience. We ordered Set Menu 2 and the food came out in stages, all freshly prepared and very tasty. The meat was tender, the flavours were excellent, and the portions generous. The were welcoming and attentive, which made the evening even more enjoyable. A great spot for authentic food – highly recommended! As a family of vegetarians, we went hoping for a full Turkish mezze and our expectations were more than met. Delicious food and a dessert to savour. Fantastic balcony views, especially at sunset. Really engaging who weren’t intrusive… just right!
