This restaurant is a little off the main road but worth the visit. Food is very good and service is fast. As per usual in Europe smoking is normal in restaurants. The atmosphere is very relaxed with lovely views of the water and surrounding bush land. Interesting place with rich fish menu. But as for me a little bit outdated. Never coming back, only because of the behaviour of the old waiter. Incredibly rude, didnt listen to our order and kept convincing us to order less food. Later he said, thinking he was being amusing, that they dont have enough fish and he knows how to trick guests and sell. Basically, we were 2 people, got a serving of fish for one person. Served us some cheap white wine and no side dish. What a joke of a restaurant. Viking is a hidden gem! This restaurant has a unique story behind it. We came all the way from Milan for a special dining experience, and we were blown away by the quality of seafood and fish. This place is truly one-of-a-kind and a must-visit! The rest of the dishes pretty average . Waited toooo long for the main course the gratinated scallops were simply awful , too fishy and un marinated . The bread basket cold and bit old . I wouldn’t return to it despite being recommended by a an acquaintance . This place pales in comparison to its neighbour the Fijord . Not coming back at all Great portions and very tasteful food. Big recommendation!!! We visited the restaurant a bit later in the evening, about an hour and a half before closing, with a prior reservation. Unfortunately, the staff, particularly the waitress, didn’t seem pleased with our arrival at that time — we felt as though we were somehow intruding. On the other hand, the food was truly fantastic, especially the seafood, which was fresh and excellently prepared. It’s a shame that the experience was somewhat affected by the attitude of the staff. While the food was of high quality, a friendlier approach would have certainly left a much better overall impression.
