The place is nice and cozy. It was crowded of young people. They deliver the orders on a different manner. Like I received my main dish probably 30 min after my friend received his. My Salm was average. The vegetables was ok. The tea was super sweet. It was absolutely perfect. Very food. Quick service. Great place to stop for lunch. They have lunch menus for circa 25 pln but we took selection from the menu. The garlic soup was great but very filling, being a sensible size with croutons. The pork rib was and the dessert grandiose (pawlova). Service was and efficient, all was super clean. Overall experience with local polish kitchen. Although there's a significant number of tourists around, the small town of Ciężkowice does not offer much in the aspect of decent restaurants. But if you get hungry after a hike in the Stone City (Skamieniałe Miasto), you can drive a few minutes away from this wonder of nature and visit Spiżarnia. It's not easy to keep an decent level of service in the lesser known parts of Poland, but Spiżarnia certainly aspires to keep it. The cuisine is not too fancy, but sometimes it's for the best. Worth trying: the dumplings or something from the daily menu. One of those places that it doesn't matter what you pick off the menu..it's always first class!! Very tasty, always freshly prepared and served with a smile. Be careful...weekends you might have to wait for a table 😉 Stopped here randomaly on the way back from a hike in the mountains. We were a bit suspicious at first, especially because of the very low prices on the menu, but what a surprise! Excellent traditional polish food. We had some salads, different types of dumplings, beetroot, tomatoe and chicken soups, and some sort of a fried potatoe pancake sandwich with goulash in it, which tasted much better than it sounds. All tasted very to me, and was spot on according to the poles in the group. Toilets very clean, had a menu in english. 5 stars for a very cheap traditional polish restaurant. A main dish that is Big with a couple of side orders and a beer, will set you back about 8USD which is what Id pay for the beer alone in my home town.. Great place, delicious food, spacious parking.
