It is a nice place to read about history, but hours for museum are totally messed up. Google opening times are wrong, and even those times at the entrance to museum are wrong to. We were here on one Thursday after 3pm and they said its too late to visit. We came back on Friday 11AM and it's close again as they say on that day museum is becomes a hospital but no one mentioned about that on Thursday... Very interesting takes u back in history to 20th July 1974 when the events of the 1950's and 1960's where the Greek Cypriots terrorised the Turkish Cypriot community on the island leading to the Turkish 'Special Operation 'to protect the lives of the TC peoples. Great pictures of the troops landing near Escape Beach as we now know it. The newly renovated landing craft has been superbly placed in memory. Still many old tanks and military trucks in amongst the pine trees as well as the cemetery in recognition of those who lost their lives on the beaches and surrounding hills. WELL WORTH THE VISIT It’s a free museum exhibit and martyr cemetery. Great scenery through historic harbor. There is a historical ammo and weapons as well as heavy duty equipments that used in peace movement where greeks started a genocide against Turks. EVERYONE SHOULD SEE THIS MUSEUM TO FIGURE OUT WHAT HAD HAPPENED BACK IN THE DAYS. Interesting to understand the history behind the 1974 war Always research the history not always your sided narrative is true. Interesting place. Full of intereating facts. Interesting.information only in Turkish. Site of 1974 landing. Very interesting and informative place to visit. Free car parking, free to look around. Would recommend this place to visit. A very meaningful national museum. All the Cypriots have to visit this place.
