The are absolutely lovely—super and always ready to help with anything. They know the area very well and gave us tips. The dinner they offer is delicious and definitely worth trying. You reach the via a gravel road and a short uphill section, but no worries—we managed it just fine with our 7.5m alcove campervan. The itself is peaceful and charming, with goats roaming around and dogs. Our kids especially loved playing with Mila, the adorable puppy 🤗 There’s a really chill vibe here. The facilities are simpel but well-kept—two showers and two toilets, and electricity is included, there is also Wifi. You don't need more! One of the highlights is the hike from the to Matka Canyon. It’s a beautiful trail through the mountains, and a perfect way to experience the nature around. Highly recommended place for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts! Wat een leuke plek! We found MatkaFarm via Park4Night because there are not a lot of sites in this area. The road to it is a gravel road, so you have to drive slow and be careful with putholes, but you don't need a 4x4 car. You can just send a message via the Facebook page that you want to come and check availability. Dogs are welcome as well. At the there is space for about 5-10 cars/caravans/campers/tents, so it never feels busy. There is WiFi, new toilets and showers (I believe finished this year) and the option to get a breakfast. There are some dogs, cats, chickens and goats around the house, all very sweet. One of the dogs, Maxi, guided us on a 40 minute walk to a nice viewpoint over the Matka Canyon. :-) The owners are super and welcoming, they really care about their guests and their time there. They have a bunch of tips as well for other places in Macedonia, in case you're making a roadtrip! This place is amazing! The hospitality of the owner is great! You can use his house/kitchen, everything was and all you need is there. The road up the hill is not so good. We did it with an old Hymer camper. But it's good to contact the owner before you arrive. The outdoor toilets and showers are clean, water is hot and they have drinking water. New family run camping, which is still in development. Owners are very and like to chat. Showers, toilets and sinks are and new. Place for tents a bit rocky and if wet, could become muddy. There are few playfull cats and two dogs. Minus one star only for neighbourhood, which looks a bit sketchy and there are a lot of rubishes near the road. But all that stays off the fence of camping. The host, Uran, is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. He knows the area very well and gave us recommendations on what to see and do nearby. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for resting after a day of adventure. The homemade was a real highlight – delicious, fresh, and made with love. You can feel the personal touch in everything. Bikers are welcome here – the camp is easily accessible and offers a safe, quiet place to rest and recharge. Highly recommended for travellers who appreciate genuine hospitality, calm surroundings, and a local experience close to nature. We’ll definitely come back! Fijne met zeer vriendelijke eigenaren. kost 20 euro per nacht. Inclusief warme douche, schoon toilet. Vanaf hier kun je naar de kloof wandelen via mooie routes. Wir haben hier zwei Nächte verbracht. Alles sauber und sehr nette Eigentümer. Von dort kann man super schöne Wanderungen unternehmen. Super Platz, super Essen, super nette Betreiber die das mit Hingabe machen. Nur zur empfehlen dieser Campingplatz. We stayed at Matka for two nights with our caravan and car, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The family who runs this is incredibly warm and welcoming — we’ve never experienced such genuine hospitality before. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Every evening we joined the communal dinner, which was not only delicious but also a lovely way to connect with others and soak in the atmosphere. You can really feel how much care and love goes into everything here — from the simple, sanitary facilities to the thoughtfully designed surroundings. Thank you so much ❤️ We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at Matka Farm. The road to the is partly a little bit bumpy but manageable with slow and careful driving. Uran an his wife are fabulous and offer very tasty dinner / on demand. As it is a there are goats dogs and cats, which our dog loved to play with. You can as well buy home made farming products like yoghurt and cheese. Toilets and amenities are functional and clean. The is a 10 minute drive from the Matka Canyon which is a beautiful spot to see. We will for sure come back. If you want to sleep near the nature this is a MUST visit place! This is as it should be. We only stay for one night on our trip to Greece and feel welcome from the first moment. Do not miss the breakfast! You can walk from there to the Matka canyon too. Een plekje waar je met een aanhanger misschien over een wat spannend weggetje moet om er te komen, maar het uitzicht is super! Eigenaren ontzettend vriendelijk. Sanitair prima in orde, 2 toiletten en 2 douches. In de avond was het water op. Maar na een seintje aan de eigenaren werd dat gelijk weer geregeld. WiFi bereik niet altijd even stabiel, maar prima. Omgeving top, vlak naast Skopje en de Matka kloof. Vanaf de mooie wandelingen te maken. In de avond loopt de vol, en in de ochtend vertrekken de meesten weer. Je wordt in de ochtend (erg vroeg) gewekt door de haan die bij elke kampeerplek gaat kukelen (en daar niet meer mee stopt 🙈). Erg lieve kat die van knuffelen houdt loopt er ook rond. De geiten lopen rondom de vrij rond. Sommigen houden van geaaid worden! I arrived at Matka with the intention of only staying the one night but the relaxed friendliness of Jasmin and Ourano soon changed my mind, I stayed for four! There is also lots to do in the area. There is a short hike down to Matka Gorge an kayaking fun on the river and lake on the way to some special caves. All this struck me as a refreshingly pure part of Macedonia. Lovely with facilities. Jasmine was a kind, accommodating host with good recommendations for hiking nearby. Delicious homemade dinner. Road was a bit bumpy getting there, but it was manageable with our camper. I would like to start with the host been really responsible and give us a local traditional experience with the goats he has and the simple life at the country side. We had a night and pleasant stay. In the mid October it was just me with a tent and a couple with a car. Jasmine made us delicious breakfast.
