The parking lot is not close. If going to Triglav it's 7 miles one direction. There is a trough/ natural spring with clean drinking near the 2nd parking lot (first is 1 kilometer closer to the trailhead). There is another trough at the north end of the large cow pasture, before the climb to the first house/hut. You can sleep at the hut near Triglav for 40 euros per person including half board, prices vary, they don't let you use their electricity nor their water, but you can buy from them. Road is full of holes so you need to be careful. Beautiful, but be prepared, there is a long stretch of gravel road (OK for regular cars, but you have to drive slowly. After long gravel ride ended up in the parking lot. There is also a small abandoned house. No toilet or water. MAPS.ME showed 4.5 hour walk to Triglav Dom (highest hütte before Triglav peak). You can park a bit further in the end of gravel road if you come early. At 8am we found a spot easily. Route to Triglav took for us about 6 hours up and 4.5 back, in total 11 hours, but that was pretty challenging physically. You can go to the “Dom pod Triglavom” first to have some rest, buy or Pepsi (6 euros :)), leave some heavy stuff and even rent helmets before climbing to the summit which takes 1.5-2 hours and about 1 hour back. Don’t forget bottles, food, energy gels and your hat with sunscreen. There are 2 springs on the way, but you can buy in the Dom, they accept cards and cash. Good luck and climb safely!
