Great place for a family summer outing: swimming in Sava river, playing on the sandy beach or on one of few children playgrounds, giant chess, pendulum bowling (if that's the term), barbecuing... The only downside are nasty mosquitoes, especially when the sun sets, so come armed. It's a perfect place to find some refreshment in the summer. It tends to be crowded in the late afternoons and during weekends. If you're not a fan of crowds come in the morning. The beach is very long and made of sand and little stones. You need a parasol if you plan to stay close to the water. There are, however, a lot of trees that provide nice shade a bit further from the water. There are also different playgrounds and two cafes. You need to pay 5 kuna for the parking for the duration of the day, per car. If you come with bicycle then it's 2 kuna. We were there even in the night time 🍹🍹 A lovely place to relax. I was cycling through Europe and stopped here to camp for the night. Some people invited me to join them at their barbeque the next day and then I stayed another night haha! The people I met here were so kind and friendly just like all of the people I met while in Croatia You have to watch out not to allow your phone or any device on roaming here. Will come back as soon as possible Poloj is sport and recreational center in nature by the river Sava near center Slavonski Brod (3 km). There is beautifull sandy beach and few sport terens. Also, there is a lot parking places. You can go there by car, by bike or by walking. Well maintained recreation area. Perfect for sport activities and BBQ.
