Nice place, has many bars and restaurants, laundry place, recycle place, lounge area etc whole small city. Expensive bars and restaurants as they are in the port, full of foreigners tourists. You will not catch all these foreigners in salerno but you will see a whole city of them inside this port. Great facilities no doubt but..... everyone seems to be out to fleece the tourists. Not everyone on a is ludicrously wealthy with no regard of prices. 8 euro for a small bottle of beer or 30 euro to refill a small gas canister is completely out of order. Price gauging with Italian flare. Disappointed marina. No shop for any essentials. Noone speaks english !!! Very dirty water. All the staff very Miserable is clean and well organised. If you ask they can organise a shopping shuttle for you. Its very helpfull cuz not a lot of shops nearby The staff told us to park outside, 20 min later, while we were dealing with the boatcrental, our van was broken into, all things gone. Even after this, they refuse to let us park inside, even though we have weekly rental. Unhelpful, arrogant staff. The boys who carry out the shuttle shopping ask for extra money and steal part of your shopping. Port with a good overview with its numerical system. Restaurant and the beach next to it are perfect for waiting and chilling. Not recommended. You park the car near the entrance and have to transfer the baggage in the which is fairly far away (ours was 500 meters). The shuttle service is overloaded and not frequent. There is very long walk from the car to the boat. The baggage trails are available, but it is hard to push them uphill. Each of the bathrooms in the has 4 showers, but 3 of them were closed, living only one in service. My family rented a for a 10 days cruise. When we came to the port area the security stopped us at the entrance . We asked to reach the and we were asked to park in the guest area and bring all our baggage and our belongings walking on a quite long distance. We asked to go in by car unload our luggage to the returning to the parking lot for a week. No way to discuss we were treated in a very impolite way by the security at gate . When called to the office and manager in charge we had the call abruptly cut from their side. No Possibility to solve the problem. At the end we received some help from the charter’s office and we solved in some way . Conclusion the di Arechi should have a better customer orientation , more educated personnel at the entrance and at the head quarter’s office.
