Het Klankenbos

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Music, performance, art and nature all in one. So fantastic. Fun way to explore the woods. A must great for kids. Very nice concept of a combination of forest and (musical) art. Free entrance after which you can explore the various art 'installations', all related to music/sound. Educational and fun for kids as well as adults. Will take about an hour or two to explore it all. Idem behoort tot het dozijn dommelhof This is a lovely, spacious forest park created by musicians/artists. It has a couple of unique natural musicspiel that I think you cannot see elsewhere. Quite creative musical experince for children. Nice location with the children to experiment with sounds and forest. Nicely made by the flemish agency for forestry. We come here often. But watch out because some metal objects are not without risk with smaller children. But for me with 5 kids its a great place. It's OK for a Sunday afternoon visit with the younger kids and toddlers although I must admit I was expecting a lot more. During the covid era some of the installations are closed. The exercise areas were probably a lot more interesting for the children as well as the large nearby playground. Good interesting things to see and listen to, especially enjoyed the sounds from the metal housings and the large metal flute Wirklich viele spannende Sachen für Kinder und auch Erwachsene. Love the idea of this Audible art gallery, some exhibits need a bit of repair. We lived the walk-in flute tunnel. The sound waves are so loud and physical when you close the door and walk to the end. Great little forest. Kids loved it. Many nice interesting acoustic artworks. Tip, you need a map if you want to find all the acoustic art work in the woods. Tip: The map can be picked up at the hut behind the Musica building. Park in front of the theatre and walk to the right side and around up under the musica building. Very nice place, different than any other museum/park I know. Good idea for evening, cause than its less people, so its calm and quiet Wonderful idea, poor execution - EDIT: ok, some more details, due to the high number of views this review received. Klankenbos is definitely worth a visit, due to its weirdness, the nice place, and the very good idea (a "sound forest"). The problems with it are mainly two: difficult to find the exhibitions - due to an ill made map and a very bad mobile app - and the sorry state of some of them (poor maintenance, not enough new stuff) Lovely place to spend.. the play area is amazing for kids as well for adults.. we enjoyed very much and our two year old son too.. will definitely visit again!!
