Some locals told me they needed time to clean. I am sure they cleaned after their weekend festival but it’s true the park in general doesn’t seem well maintained. I even saw some bath sinks (I think) dumped in grassy areas. I know nothing about animals but they did not look particularly well cared for. I saw no one in the ‘zoo’ area. I needed a place to walk my dog. Yes they have a dog park which is nice, big and has water. But I wanted to walk through the park with him to try to calm him after continuous noise from shooting to repel birds from nearby vineyards. A bike policeman approached me on the way out to the parking lot and scolded me very sternly because the dog was off leash. Almost with disgust which surprised me. Needless to say, I have no desire to go there again. I always do things thinking about others. I know people may not like or be afraid of dogs. Even when it says dogs on leash, I try to walk him a little off leash if others are not around to be disturbed. This was the case today.
