We had a great guide with good interpretation 🤗 This a great stop from Lisbon to Porto. We floated down the canals and learn more about the history of the town and the people. Whenever we are in the area we always come here. Best tours in town and it's right next to the fish market. If you get there early the place next door has a patio to wait at. They now also offer bike rentals! Thank you to Piedro (guide) and Luca (captain). All workers are nice and friendly. Good translation indeed and you feel the history. The takes 45 minutes and you can see and listen all history at the same time. You are given salt (famous here) as a present at the end. I strongly recommend for a river in Aveiro. Aveiro was our last stop on a 14 day trip to Portugal. The charm of this old fishing village did not disappoint & we lucked into this boat (which was just around the corner from our apartment.) We were greeted with a warm smile from Joanna (maybe Johanna?) & we booked two tickets for the 45 minute aboard a moliceiro (like a gondola in Venice). Aveiro was so unlike the other Portugal stops & we loved seeing the city by water. Johanna could not have been nicer; getting us a map of city & also recommending places to eat. There is a more “glamorous” side of town, but we loved this sweet little corner! Be sure to stop in “Gelados of Portugal” And if you come by train, be sure to check out the beautiful VISITOR CENTER next to train station. Everyone we met was so kind and helpful! Very special experience. Crew went all-out to provide a great cruise. We had a fantastic just my son and I. Instead of waiting for the other boats to get back, they used their spare one. Joana was an excellent guide, very informative, fun, friendly and knowledgeable. Plus a little gift at the end. Highly recommend We had a great time on the boat tour, the stories about the town and old-time pictures to go along with it are inspiring and funny. We lucked out with the last boat of the day and this boat really made out trip to Aveiro. Highly recommend!
