É uma praia enquadrada por uma bonita área relativamente Natural de Floresta Atlântica, não sei se já pertencente ou não ao Parque Natural das Dunas de S.Francisco. Não sendo explicitamente uma Praia Naturista, a cerca de 200 - 300m da entrada principal, na direcção Sul, é uma zona essencialmente Naturista, o que é óptimo dada a escassez na Região Norte de praias para quem procura essa opção. Mas um dos aspectos negativos é o de total ausência de referência e até divulgação da Praia a esse nível. Para além de não existir qualquer sinalização indicadora (o que leva a pensar que a ideia será quase "esconder" o Naturismo como se fosse algo de errado). Outro aspecto, que não se prende naturalmente só com a praia mas é infelizmente um grave problema em toda a Costa: o areal estava repleto de lixo maioritariamente trazido pelo mar creio. Parece-me que faria todo o sentido as autarquias, neste caso de Ovar, costeiras criarem uma espécie de Corpo de "Sapadores Marítimos", tal como existem os Sapadores Florestais. A sua função principal seria trabalhar para a reabilitação dos Ecossistemas Costeiros, em especial das Dunas, mas sobretudo procederem à remoção de toneladas de resíduos das praias.
