Ran into the guide again later in my stay and he continued to give me grest advice on walks etc. I rode Gregor who was absolutely beautiful. Can't this enough. For those without a car I was able to get out there via taxi for 10 Euro. Really nice through the country & woods to an inactive monastery on the backside of the Grand Meteora. Our 2 guides were knowledgeable, hospitable, and excellent caretakers of their horses. The were gentle and very easy to ride. I highly this excursion as another way to Meteora and learn about the local area. Such an experience! It was our first time riding a horse. We had Greco and Chris. A 9-10yr old horses! My boyfriend and I did an hour on our who were also boyfriend and girlfriend - Lydia and Leon! Sweet doggo Liza was also a wonderful companion on our journey. The gentlemen took videos and pictures for us on both their and own phone. They were so much fun to spend time with, we will absolutely be visiting them again. Also our children enjoyed every minute Can't enough I had never ridden a horse before, and was actually kind of scared of them. All of that changed today thanks to the guides Odysseas and Lefteris, plus my beautiful horse Icarus. We did the two hour sunset tour and I wish it had gone for two hours longer. We had such an horseback experience! The was incredibly fun, the people were absolutely lovely, and the views were just breathtaking. It felt truly special and unforgettable. The location is perfect — close to the stunning Meteora and surrounded by plenty of great restaurants. Highly recommended!
