There chalets, 2 at entrance and 1 at top. Very good access just 40 km away from Trikala city. Road is always open and there is no need for snow chains. Big parking space. Next to the ski there are opportunities for horse riding and other sport activities. Most of them take place during summer season. The scenery is nice and the place has potential but unfortunately the council that is responsible for the has made no effort to provide even the basics! The toilets are horribly old and dirty and the chalet is so old with damaged furniture and full of cobwebs ! The drinks offered very limited. So the facilities are very bad. The ski lift is old and the people that are there to help you get on and off , are very abrupt and literally throw you on and off the lift as they approach ! The site had a little snow and it had become hard and very dangerous to walk on as it was like ice! We did like the scenery on the way there and the forest walk around the centre. It is a real shame that the council hasn't made a little effort to turn this into a really enjoyable experience for the Greek people and the visitors as it does have the potential. I'm sorry but a disappointment overall due to lack of facilities. Exited to go to the Ski from Trikala with my wife a daughter to go for walk around and have coffee and breakfast. After driving over an hour we arrived. The scenery was breathtaking but the facilities are old and lack of maintenance. We went for breakfast only to be told they don’t take cards only cash which was a major shock as the only working ATM is over an hour away and it’s a legal requirement under Greek law to take cards. Had a very upset five year old who was hungry and thirsty. Had a great time at Elati village where everywhere accepted cards. Beautiful location inside an amazing fir forest allegedly the largest in Greece. As a ski center there is not a lot to write about. As there is not a lot of snow due to its low altitude of 1000 m it probably operates depending on the year no more than a month. The place is great for other outdoor activities such as hiking,horseriding, mountain biking and all sorts. I really appreciate this place as it is a perfect example that Greece has a lot to offer as a destination other than sun and beaches. An old Ski Center. Just one double lift and very slow. You need around 5 minutes to ski down from the top and around 15 minutes waiting in the line. Also the slopes where not fixed for the day and everything was frozen. As a result everyone could get heard just from one fall. Nice place, especially when it's snowing. It can be overcrowded though and the nearby chalets smell like cigarette smoke. Moderate ski center, ideal for elementary and medium skilled ski enthusiasts.
