Absolutely amazing lake. So beautiful, full of animals. Ducks, geese, turtles, fish, all kinds of birds. Really nice to walk around or sit at the near by cafe and enjoy the view. Easily one of the best places to eat dinner, lunch or breakfast or grab a cup of coffee/tea with your friends in the Trikala/Karditsa region. This is a massive restaurant cafe built upon a lake crowded with ducks and geese, frogs and birds of all kinds. There's plenty of seating inside, on the balcony and outside. I could easily see a wedding event (dinner) taking place here. Yes, it's that big! We tried several items from the menu with some of them being particularly well made, and the "worst" was on the average level of restaurants. The black Angus steak was grilled to preference accurately and the meat quality was very good. The pasta ranged from to very good, the salads and appetizers were very in both terms of quantity and quality, fresh and tasty. The desserts were also above average in size and taste. The prices were very reasonable given the atmosphere and magnitude of the restaurant, could even dare to call it value for money. The personnel was more than happy to serve us and fulfill all of our needs and requests. They were professional and very polite and seemed to truly care about our experience. The soft jazz and lounge music in the background accompanied us wonderfully while we dined there. All in all, a great experience, a place I would revisit without any hesitation. But struggling with their popularity, overall the staff were friendly but they could probably have done with more. I am giving 4 stars for the place just because it has so much unfinished potential. It is a great place for kids and families. Kids for feeding the ducks and generally the animals and for playing with the few available playground stuff there. Parents for enjoying their coffee....but! there are no available benches to even sit and leave your stuff there. I mean there are but they are dirty, therefore useless. It is a very beautiful place indeed and the animals are very friendly and used to the human presence. It certainly has great potential and it needs some permanent development as an espresso bar, a canteen and better swings for the babies and kids. Benches too! The best part, you can eat kokoretsi alongside your Helsinki cocktail ! This place has a lot of potential. The location is wonderful! Plenty of space, playground for kids, parking nearby. There are, unfortunately, a few things that ruined our experience. First, we asked for an English menu, and they did not have one. We asked the waitress about one dish if it was fish, she said yes, it is stuffed fish with greek cheese, spinach and tomatoes. To our surprise, when she brought the food it was actually pork meat. It was fine by me, but should you not eat pork or have any allergies, I would not recommend it. We also ordered two lemonades and got only one, probably because of the language barrier as well. As soon as we got the food, a few cats and dogs came by our table and kept begging for food the whole time. Not a pleasant experience. The other guests were bothered by the animals too, and we saw them going inside or trying to make the animals go away. The food tasted very tho, and the prices were fair. Excellent good, beautiful place with attention to detail, wonderful surroundings. Especially nice for kids Excellent, thoughtful setting,,,cozy indoor atmosphere. Staff Service and friendly.
