On the internet site of this hideous shack, erected mid March and torn down in the early fall, you can read that it's supposed to attract the inhabitants of Pully to allow them enjoy eating, drinking and contemplating the view over the lake. However La Générale appears to have attracted mostly people from the greater Lausanne area, and with this, wide spread littering and parking problems. In the morning you will encounter overfull dustbins all over the recreational area, empty beer cans and cigarette packs, pizza boxes and fags. The staff of the bar is supposed to clean up after closing hours or in the early morning but this is not the case so the city staff has to deal with the problem. Drinks are expensive, consumed out of plastic glasses and service is slow during high affluence periods. For us living nearby, the only positive aspect is the wooden podium constructed along the shoreline that serves for exercise activities and photo shoots outside bar opening hours. For those afraid of rodents, note that the famous Pully brown rats use to live under this construction and come out in the early morning hours to help cleaning the area... Very nice beers and great view to the lake Super location, always open in the summer. Needs someone with a process design head to make the order and collect process to work more effectively and someone with a service head to coach the serving team. There are many tables and it’s an excellent spot to enjoy sunset in Pully while having a drink. Nice service, fast and smiling, unfortunately I feel the available selection is a bit limited. You'll enjoy a magnificient view on the Leman Lake while drinking artisinal beer or local drink. Also you can eat a very good homemade burger ! It could be so much better. Only one of the salads on the menu was available. Lots of wasps will want your kids drink so you’ll be on the lookout rather than enjoying the view. They have grilled sausage but no fries… nothing totally wrong but far from great. Great location, great vibe. However the service is very slow. You have to queue to pay first at the cashier, and with only one cashier the wait can be very long. Once paid, drinks arrive quite fast. They really need to sort out this bottleneck by adding one cashier on busier days/nights. We visited La Générale for my boyfriend's birthday. We really have nothing to say besides the fact it was flawless from start to finish, and it was over too soon. Absolutely everything, from food, drama/execution, service, wine list, decor, taste, was perfect. We can't wait to visit again. If you get the opportunity to visit this incredible place you must go. It's the most amazing experience. And thanks to the manager stay open a few more minutes for us and offer 2 bottles of wine at 2 a.m it's was wonderful.
