Voici pourquoi : 1️⃣ Un tarif disproportionné : 14 CHF pour une visite expéditive de 20 minutes (40 minutes si vous prenez le temps de feuilleter quelques ouvrages), c'est excessif – d’autant plus pour un lieu géré par une fondation aux moyens confortables. 2️⃣ Une atmosphère oppressante : La maison est bien conservée, certes, mais pourquoi tant d’interdictions ? Photos et vidéos interdites, accès à la rue fermé et surveillé en permanence, interdiction de s’approcher des murs, de marcher sur la pelouse… Ajoutez à cela un personnel qui vous surveille à la seconde près, et l’on se sent davantage en prison que dans un espace culturel. L'architecture n'est-elle pas faite pour être vécue ? 3️⃣ Un discours orienté et envahissant : Un membre du personnel (qui semblait être le responsable, bien qu’aucunement spécialiste – il nous a confié être expert en peinture anglaise du XVIIIe…) a transformé notre visite en prêche corbuséen, nous imposant un monologue de 30 minutes mêlant hagiographie aveugle et digressions lunaires : critique du "wokisme", révisionnisme sur les liens avérés de Le Corbusier avec Vichy, et, cerise sur le gâteau, des attaques misogynes qualifiant Eileen Gray de "cougar" et Jean Badovici de "gigolo". Impossible d’admirer le lieu, encore moins d’exercer un regard critique. Nous avons dû prétexter un train à prendre pour fuir. 🔴 Verdict : une immense déception. Historien de l’architecture, formé par des spécialistes de la modernité, dont certaines ont directement contribué à la patrimonialisation de l’œuvre de Le Corbusier, je mesure pleinement l’importance de ce site.
