I really loved my visit and it has so much to offer, parking is great and there are a few trails to follow. I took the lower trail along the river bank and I came across two calm large ponds, there was some fishing going on and a local told me about how if I got up high and walked through a stone wall opening and across a bridge I could walk all the way around the river on the other side, but after coming down the bank at the bridge I could see cascades and I was delighted to capture them. All in all I had a fantastic time and Im defnitely coming back in the winter when the water flow will be more intense, cheers I'm a local and therefore Borodale is one of my regular haunts. Words cannot best describe the natural beauty of Borodale, one has to visit and experience it in person but I highly recommend and I encourage all to respect this bounty and leave as it is and to bring your rubbish home with you please so that all can continue to enjoy this beauty spot as God/Allah/Buddha/Krishna intended. There are 2 main trails. 1 known to the public and another which you must explore and find for yourself but a much more splendid walk you will agree if and when you discover it 😉 Beautiful place defo worth a visit and access from by bridge if u have difficulty walking but be careful as steps are not the best Beautiful and peaceful park near Wexford – perfect for a picnic Borodale / Dunanore Park is a lovely spot just outside Wexford — ideal for a walk, picnic, or quiet time with family and friends. There is free parking available, and entry to the park is also free, which is a big plus. The area is well-kept and very scenic, making it great for relaxing or enjoying nature. We recommend bringing your own snacks or lunch and having a picnic — it’s a perfect setting for it. Note that swimming is not allowed here, and there are no toilet facilities on site, so it’s good to plan ahead. We really enjoy coming here and truly appreciate having such a peaceful place nearby. Tiny cute walk in the middle of nowhere. Goes besides the Boro river and the view of its giant spruce trees is breathtaking. Good spot for fishing Irish trout. It also has a small carpark. Worth mentioning to keep the forest clean and to not leave any litter behind. Very beautiful place. Sounds of flowing water and birds are really enhance the beauty of this place. Very quiet spot with a small walking trails. 30-60 minutes spendable, Small free car parking, No toilets, No foods. If ya want to experience nature and peace here's you're spot 😉 Such a stunning hidden gem. One of the nicest short walks.
