Beautiful grounds and impressive looking chateau, great place to stroll around The manicured gardens hide a surrealist surprise—Magritte's former studio, preserved with his pipe collection and half-finished canvases. The pond's black swans were gifts from the Queen of Denmark in 1967. Early mornings reveal deer grazing beneath the copper beech trees planted to match Fontainebleau's. One of the most beautiful castles in Belgium. Surrounded with amazing park woth lakes, forests, horses and wild nature. One of the best spots for a family weekend. Or a bike trip. Scouts love to explore the secrets of this place. Scroll around, take your camera. And picnic equipment. There is also a labyrinth and many interesting sculptures. Parking is outside, near main street. From there you need to walk around 1km to the castle. We come there every few weeks. Highly recommended! ;) Unique place and worderfull to celebrate a wedding! The chateau itself with some parts of the building, covered in greenery, it was just so picturesque. Beside the chateau is its garden which is freely accessible. The well laid out French style garden with green shrubs and colorful flowering plants placed perfectly in harmony with sculptures of angels & cherubs. Chateau de la Hulpe is one of the sought after places for a destination wedding in Belgium! An astonishing scenery with a lake, two big meadows and a beautiful chateau. There is a house riding place and you will not get enough of this place. I totally recommend this place. You will never forget the scenes. This place is like a dream land Beautiful, well-kept park with easy walking trails. Most are stroller friendly and a few veer off with a bit of an incline. Great for a peaceful picnic on the grass. For my it stay one of the best place to go in the nature to have a walk close to Brussels. Lakes Forest quite areas. Crowded the weekend. Peaceful during the week One of the most beautiful place and beautiful castles in Belgium. Surrounded with amazing park two lakes, forests, horses and wild nature. Highly recommended. Nice looking building in the middle of a wide expanse of forest and park land. Didn’t manage to explore more though as there was an ongoing wedding reception event. Magnificent place to go for a walk, picnick, with family and friends. It was beautiful castle and garden. There are lots of ponds and birds. We could see cherry blossoms in springtime. Museum also wonderful!!
