Very clean. A classic city garden with a neu classic flair, a in the middle a obelisc for the wars against Napoléon. It is an old place inside the city. Not much to see here After checking out the twin we came back here for a picnic and it was prefect. Beautiful little green spot. Pleasant seating under the trees for a break. Museum and church to view. Shops and futebol museum too. Coffee shops and restaurants near by. Museum is about €4 donation per person. Garden is free😉😁 Small park, few car parks around, but well in the center of the city with all major banks close by, church, museum, post office, and many coffee shops and bakeries. Its a lovely spot; clean, tranquil and a gentle homage to history. The nearby monastery (constructed between 1544 and 1580) is the resting place of Saint Gonçalo of Lagos, who is the patron saint of Torres Vedras. The obelisk serves as a tribute to the soldiers who fought against Napoleon's forces between 1807 and 1814. And the fountain was apparently an essential water source for the medieval town and was fed by an aqueduct. Pretty cool if you think about it, and definitely worth a visit.
