What a surprise. We had booked, thankfully, for a November Monday it was very busy. The food was excellent, served very quickly nice and hot. size portions. A wide range of beer, spirits and wine. The team were very and attentive. The inn is with a very car park but the car park was nearly full. Absolutely beautiful pub in an amazing location. Plenty of parking too. Really delicious Roast Beef and trimmings. Very Staff, Grace was our Server and she was great! There's a lot of tables but its very well organised, we were served very professionally and efficiently. If you want a table with a view (of the gorgeous bridge and river) then you will definitely have to book. Dog with a doggy water station outside. Toilets very clean. Only loses a slight point due to the Roast Chicken being a tad bland but apart from that, everything was great! Delicious food served in a dining room, windows looking out onto the Severn gorge. Beautiful wooded valley. A slice of heaven! We did a loop walk along the Severn and popped in for a pint. location next to the river with lots of outdoor seating. We found a spot by one of the fires. The beer was as well. The Original was ok but not as as Butcombe Original. Beautiful country pub with a gorgeous setting. Just annoyed that we have only just found it having lived in the area for 3 years. were friendly, very and the food was brilliant. We had been for a walk down the Severn and popped in for some lite bites.....we will be back....most likely again and again. traditional food at reasonable prices. stock of beers and gins through other spirits are available. Plenty of spaces for parking and nice views of the river Severn if seated in the right place. Plenty of seats outside to eat too whenever the weather picks up. Like to add I had the steak pie and was with plenty of meat which I tend to find at other places usually lacking!!! Brunning and Price quality in a stunning location. Open log fires and staff. Prawn cocktail was very as was the pork belly but woodpigeon starter even more highly recommended - the black pudding and beetroot purée a perfect accompaniment to the pigeon breast, delicious. Although a very beautiful place, we were disappointed with the food and service. We had to place our drinks order at the bar each as the waitress who looked after us was never there. When she came to take a drinks order, we had done it a while ago at the bar. I ordered a steak that was average. Would not recommend it. Very slow service. As I said, it's a stunning place, and I am sure you would enjoy a drink or two. We just happened to be driving through and popped in for a Sunday roast dinner. The food was brilliant and the were very good. We had the beef roast dinner and the mix. Couldn’t fault it. We asked for more gravy and they were more than happy to give it to us. The only downside was we did wait a long for food and to then be asked for pudding. Pudding would have been but we just didn’t have after waiting so long. But they did seem super busy so it couldn’t be helped maybe. But on the whole beautiful place to eat I can imagine it’s even better in the summer. First ime visiting and it won't be the last. Felt really welcome and it was to play snakes and ladders with the family whilst we waited for food. The pineapple cider was amazing too! Wonderful food, well done to the chef, perfect views, and all of the were so polite and friendly. I highly recommend the smoked salmon sandwich and chocolate brownie pudding! This place is also dog friendly. Beautiful location overlooking the river. We went for Easter Sunday lunch and it did not disappoint. The food and was spot on and the was excellent. Very and staff. Only reason I did not give this a five star is because of the toilet facilities. They need to be improved. We’ve been to the Woodbridge many times as a family and before we had kids and always enjoy it. Here’s our review for the most recent visit. Food - delicious and portions Drinks - both the rosé and Guinness were lovely Service - really polite and helpful, a lady and could answer our couple of questions about the menu My only negatives are as follows: - It seems to get more and more expensive everytime and is nearly at the point of being too expensive. - There was a lady who came in talking to a what I assume was regular, discussing she’s been full of cold and felt terrible for days but couldn’t afford to not be in. We then saw her was serving tables which I thought was a bit gross and were glad we had the waitress we did I want to go back when it’s not summer to see if I have a better experience but my day there was honestly unbearable due to the amount wasps and hornets landing on us which was slightly terrifying (mainly when the hornets appeared) this isn’t really the pubs fault but something people need to be prepared for if they’re dining outside. There aren’t any humane kind of wasps and hornet traps, we ended up leaving after less than an hour of being there and not finishing our meal because of it. The are amazing, was great, the place is absolutely beautiful. Vegetarian roast was pretty terrible (extremely dry) but my partners pork and beef roast was really nice. I’d happily go and eat inside and try the weekday menu though. My first at The Woodbridge Inn was a fantastic experience. The were wonderful and the atmosphere was warm and vibrant. My friends and I were looked after by the Katie. She made us feel very welcome and attended to all our needs. The food was delivered promptly and tasted absolutely delicious. The menu offered a variety of tasty dishes, all very reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning in the future. Many thanks 😊 We really enjoyed our leisurely lunch at the Woodbridge Inn today. Nestled right by the river, offering spectacular views. A good, varied menu, I highly recommend the steak, ale and potato pie. The servers were and attentive. A experience. Long wait between ordering food and delivery to table..That said everything else was great, from welcome from bar staff, from waitress, excellently presented tasty food. Coffee is too.Great place for a meal, dog area, setting. We booked the Woodbridge for Christmas Day and had absolutely no regrets. Being a group of 9 it can be difficult to find somewhere that satisfies everyone but the Woodbridge outdid themselves on Christmas Day. Having pre-ordered our menu choices in advance the team were well prepared with timings and drinks were always arriving when needed without having to ask. The value for money was great, with 3-courses each for around £95, we were incredibly well fed by the end. The turkey was the best I think I’ve possibly ever had, not a single piece was dry and the selection of fresh veg was fantastic, they didn’t even scrimp on the roasties. A favourite dish amongst many of us was the salted caramel tart for dessert which was utterly mouth watering. Thank you so much to the team who worked that day, you really outdid yourselves. For anyone considering a care-free Christmas Day out, I highly recommend the Woodbridge. [Photo’s attached from another member of our group on the day] Amazing experience at the Woodbridge Inn. The decor this of year is stunning, the food choice is fantastic and you can tell the the team has put a lot of effort into creating unique dishes and curating a choice of drinks, including Christmas cocktail recipes and non-alcoholic beverages. We went back after three years visiting the area for the first time, and made to feel so welcome and looked after by manager Elliot and his team, and we enjoyed the experience so much that we booked again for the next day on New Year’s Eve. Although the place was busy and every table seemed occupied, the was seamless, the food was coming out at just the right pace and at a perfect temperature. Special thanks to our waitress Maddie and Mandy at the bar for looking after us and our little dog. We cannot wait to come back to the area and come back, perhaps more regularly now! Camille & Tom The food & drink are always but the here are the stars of the show. They create such a relaxing environment & make us all laugh eveytime. Special shout out to Mark & Alfie. Top and humour. We appreciate you :) The food was superb. The restaurant was very busy, which is to be expected in the weeks leading up to Christmas, and our meal was delayed due to a group; however, we were kept informed throughout. The atmosphere was relaxed and unhurried, the views from our table were stunning, and I would definitely recommend it. Food was exceptional. Atmosphere lovely. were and but a little slow on what seemed like a quiet Thursday early evening. Continues to be one of my favourite places to visit.
