Lovely place outside Zagreb..... I had a brill and Sunday afternoon lunch.... the food was amazing, the views are fantastic all surrounded by hills and wineries. The decoration is very rustic. It was very hot today, so we opted for indoor seating, as did almost everyone else. (Thera are many tables outside, nice lawn, kids' playground...) The lerge dining room has A/C, but inadequate. The other large party brought a *very* loud quasi-folk band, which made conversation during most of the meal impossible. We felt as if we were at some village wedding party. That aside, what one comes here for is food. Roast veal and lamb from brick bread oven were superb, as was wild boar stew with spectacular hand-made potato dumplings. Rich mushroom, bacon and veal soup was delicious, beef soup so-so. House rwd wine was thin and acidic, exactly like people drink as home around here. For better wine, look at the selection of bottles, which is still nothing to write home about. Wine, as food, is what people eat and drink in these parts. We finished the meal with very apple strudel. We came to this wonderful place once again after a few years, when driving through Croatia. We were astonished by the warm reception, the amount of food and the hart the lady of the house showed us. Incredible white wines, great country food, even better scenery! Hope to come back soon! You drive of the highway on winding picturesque roads, but once you get there, the beauty ramps up a notch. Our waiter was fantastic. upbeat, positive, friendly, professional and really at his job. I didn't have to ask for nothing. He knew when i wanted another beer before I had to ask. The deer meat dish was fabulous; stuffed with plums and bacon, in a rich vegetable sauce. We also had apple strudel and it was definitely home made goodness. The view and the location itself are well worth every penny. One minor thing was that my fiancé was the only non local there, and felt a bit uncomfy with the stares of some folk at an adjecent table, but we changed tables and all was again. Sadržaja i prostora nije im falilo, a radi djece ovo i organiziramo. Primjer drugim ugostiteljima da porade na prostoru i sadržaju jer obitelji s djecom dobri su potrošači, a djeci nije do elitne hrane i bogate kuhinje već do raznovrsnog igrališta. No, ovdje se i obilato i fino jede. Pohvale konobarima i roštilj majstoru te gazdi. Juha fina domaća, glavno jelo (menu 3) djelovao nam je "od svega po malo" i bio je pun pogodak, a štrudla od jabuka preeeeedobra. I bez predjela ostalo mesa. Mi smo bili 4 sata, a ako bas želite hladne nareske dok se djeca igraju nećete pogriješiti naručivši ih. We were never given menu, but only told what we can order (we didn't ask for price for the meal, and it wasn't clearly shown anywhere). The soup was average at best, seemed like it was warmed ip from day before. The veal (ispod peke) was undercooked and was tough to chew (for the dish that is supposed to melt in your mouth almost). The ammount of meat we got was good, however the taste and texture was such that we left most of it at the plate. And the price for the meal was hilariosly high coneidering the quality (around 80 eur for soup + main dish for four people). I can see people coming there for the view and letting kids play with animals, but avoid the food at all costs. One of our best food experiences of all times. The restaurant is located on a mountaintop sorrounded by beautiful nature. The service was top class and the food was value for money. Loads of local specialties on the menu. From the fact that no one greeted us to the fact that they outright ignored us for about first 20 minutes until someone acknowledged the fact that we are there. Then we waited for food for about 50 minutes. People that came 30 minutes after us got their food before us. Rude and unprofessional. I won't be coming back and I wouldn't recommend.
