Go down a lane after Motorway. Be careful of dips and bumps in the road. You can pull over on the right, just before you see a small white building. I then followed the moonlight, so bright , dont need a torch. Then head towsrd the power masts and you come across the pillar for the national park. After thst I headed towards the grey clay hills. Also followed the old river bed. There is a hunting reserve on the right, which is signposted. Get there for about 05:30. I went early- mid September. Badlands next for me. 😎 This was one of the milestones during my motorbike journey in Iberia in 2019. It would be enough saying that it was the scenography for many Spaghetti Western movies. It's a place unique in Europe. I was there alone, with my motorbike and a thunderstorm over my head. Only a word: terrific!! The road to get there was plenty of holes, big rocks and narrow, but if you keep attention it's feasible. Just an amazing place to see. Something for everyone! Great shows and some amazing animals. We had the inclusive menu, which again was very good. Great value, something like this in England would be £50 - 60 PP but only cost us approximately £30 PP for adults and £20 for kids. we could not find the place, google maps kept telling us we arrived, but we were no where near the places we saw in the pictures. shame :( It’s a beautiful and majestic desert, used for decades as a filming location for many westerns and several other movies. It looks and feels just how you would expect a desert to. Be careful with the temperatures, it gets up to 50°C in the summer and between 38°C and 45°C is quite typical. Great for hiking as long as you stick to marked routes and take lots of water! Hiking in the Tabernas Desert is a must. The different views and the colours are breathtaking. I did it in December and the weather was nice 14°. Hiking is free.
