This has just been newly renovated/upgraded and wow! I have been to the place before its renovation but now they have levelled it up so well! A must visit if you are around Limoges, a good place for your hungry tummy too. Very clean in Limoges. Several places to have a wonderful lunch e.g. roasted meat, seafood platter with shrimps, oysters, smoked salmon, wine. Just a nice space to hang out, eat and soak in the atmosphere. Lively place without being over crowded. Open on Sunday. Really nice food in the old town of Limoges. Usually shuts at 2 or 3pm but the day we were there they had an evening function with tables out in the neighbouring square. The atmosphere was awesome with people inside and outside the eating small plates prepared by the vendors inside with a drop of wine also of course. This is a great building home to lots of small stalls, it's a place which sells meat, fish, fruit, veg and all sorts of fresh produce. There are a number of small cafes so you can eat and have a drink while shopping. Take time to look at the building which is an iron framed structure said to take its design from the Eiffel Tower, also look up at the porcelain tiles which adorn the roofline which can be easily missed. Well worth a visit. Fabulous, typical french hall with excellent small producers. Visited Saturday morning while traders outside too. Lovely local market. Busy place but very clean. It's clean and reasonably priced for absolutely top quality produce. A must visit.
