I really enjoyed the visit to Irish Working Sheepdogs. The are and it’s fascinating to see them work. There was good shelter provided during the rain, and the shepherd was very friendly and shared a lot of interesting insights. On top of that, there were some great local products available to buy. A wonderful and authentic overall. Excellent explanation of the working and herding. I have seen this before but not such detailed explanation and demonstration. The different whistles and control was truly amazing. The little store to buy products was good local products. This place is fantastic 👏 There are no words. Just go! Let Mick and his dog, Sal, the puppy Boss and their educated you, and get yourself a little home made to bring him or a locally made gift for your loved ones or memento ♡♡♡ maybe see you there soon! Mike gave a great demonstration. My daughter and wife got to hold some baby lambs and the were super friendly. Crazy amount of energy. Watching them work was pretty as well. This was a wonderful from start to finish. The are clearly well-loved and cared for, and an incredible testament to their training. Michael did an excellent job of explaining the training process and farming to us. The were beautiful and the facilities were clean and easy to find, and it started on time. He happily answered questions of all sorts and was a pleasure to learn from. I 100% recommend this if you are in the Dublin area and want to enjoy a dog demonstration. A wonderful of highly trained doing what they love — working! Michael gave a great explanation of the challenges facing farms today, and the difficulties of passing on farming and shepherding techniques to the next generation. Watching the work at his whistle commands was incredible. Signs for it are easy to miss, watch carefully from the road! The sheepdog was a highlight of our trip and an incredibly enjoyable experience. Michael provided fascinating insights into the history and training of border collies, and it was truly impressive to watch the respond to his whistle commands with such precision. The were remarkable and performed their herding tasks flawlessly—an excellent display of skill and teamwork. I would also like to commend Lisa for her outstanding communication. She responded promptly and thoroughly to every email, which made planning our visit seamless. For those planning to attend, we highly recommend arranging transportation in advance. We used Neal Kelly with Kelly’s Carriages, and he provided reliable, friendly service, waiting during the and ensuring a smooth return trip. The sheepdog was thoroughly a enjoyable experience. There were three sheepdogs working when we arrived and their names were Jojo, one and a half, Maggie, ten years old, and Sal, Jojo’s mom, four years old. The farmer, Michael, told us about how they would train the dogs, why you had to sheer the sheep, what attitude you wanted the to have to be able to round up the sheep, and more. Then we got to see the actually round up the and the different whistles you would use to tell the what to do. The were also very friendly and affectionate to us. All in all, we had a great time! Our time with Mic was incredible! He was so informative, welcoming and enjoyable to be around. We cannot thank you enough for your time and for showing us your (Sal and Maggie).
