In the evening we got hungry and started to search for some interesting local venue for dinner. So we found this place. The first surprise was the menu was in Latvian. Using translator in the phone made it a bit easier what we would like to order but also the girl taking orders helped us to pick. And let me tell you this. The food is amazing! I got the chicken with blue cheese and it was bakes perfectl! The amount of sauce was enough. I am not a big fan of potatoes but the amount of green salad on side was surprising and just awesome! Also I asked for the oatmeal dessert. It actually is the same as black bread one but also, it was done perfectly. Not too sweet. Overall, considering the price - 5 stars. Minus one off for the menu not being in english. Helpful staff (they even suggested a better route to our destination!). Tasty food with generous portions—even the half portions were much bigger than expected! Excellent! Had Pikantā Gaļina and Zemeņu limonāde. Meal was served very quickly, in 15-20 minutes. Local Alojas french-fried potatoes and chicken covered with melted cheese and plums was delicious. Very cosy place with outdoor playground for kids. Loved every moment , tasty food , nice garden, inside cosy, only one thing menu isn't in English, but staff is very helpful. And one more time, food is very tasty 😋 definitely will be back. 10/10 Have been coming to this place for a few years now when visiting family and it never disappoints Food is great and very cheap (€9 for the huge portion in my photo) Staff are lovely Plenty of parking They’ve also got a hotel , sauna and function room for parties / gatherings of any kind Pluses: Big portions, tasty salads, tasty kvass drink, terrase outside, good price for portion. Minuses: Very shaky table, potatoes are with no taste, cheese chops was made with oil that was obviosly used several times.
