Very bad camping: 1) full of mosquitoes 2) toilets with bad urine smell 3) undrinkable tap water ( very bad taste!) 4) WiFi doesn't work just after 20 m from the reception. Campground is situated in the small greenery at the waterfront of the youth hostel. In peak season weekend the peer disco on opposite the danube arm pumps up the air with deep bass which is thrilling even through your earplugs. In general the setting is more urban than in nature near a central city place. If you want to sleep at night, go for a hotel room in the city or check the casual beachcamp on the neighboring island. Management seems to be professional, but this prevented not from too small sanitaries for the crowd with only 1 working toilet (men, out of order - jammed - out of order - still working). Hot water was running. Couple travelling by bike. We camped for one night here during the weekend and we wouldnt recommend for other bikers that need rest and a good of sleep. The camping was full of groups of kids and teenagers. There was a party in the other side of the River, with very loud music and it went until a after midnight. When it was over, the teenagers in the camping started a new party with loud music in the middle of the tents. Apparently there is no rules for noise and no one controlling. This is budget accommodation done right. Rented one of the apartments in the "apartment house" located some 500m from the main building. The room was clean if slightly shabby here and there; bathroom and kitchen (with hob, toaster, kettle and fridge, but no microwave) were spartan but adequate. The presence of A/C was a pleasant surprise and made our stay a lot more enjoyable. Receptionist was very polite, friendly and helpful. The camping ground provides many fireplaces for campfires, and even some gratis firewood (but don't depend on it). Unfortunately, clouds of insistent and highly aggressive gnats made staying outside for any length of time, especially after sunset, more than unpleasant. We tried for a BBQ, but had to abandon it with some of the food still uneaten. We camped here on a Friday night, not sure if its the same experience any other day. We thought its going to be a quiet place unfortunately not. There are bars opposite the river and they played very loud music until 1.30am. After that there was lots of noisy, loud, screaming drunk people and scooters making loud sounds until 3am. This campsite is also not fully gated. Outsiders can come through the big gap in the fence and also via the riverside path. Long story short we didn't sleep at all! Good thing the bathrooms are clean. That's the only plus point. BUT there was a group of men who sat in front of the bathroom entrance eating and drinking and staring. Felt very uncomfortable for me as a woman. If you want to camp and rest for the night this is not the place. Of course it was cheap only €11 per night for us. The 4.1 review is probably for the rooms. Clean and affordable, well located (near proper area), and nice view on the river. There’s a kitchen (sink, electric stove, fridge and even mashing mashing free of charge). There’s also a nice playground for kids right next to the campground (just to open the gate). We paid 6800 HF for 2 adults, and one tent - this includes the charges.
