Great place, clean and safe for your little ones. Wonderful are offered to challenges which will, push and overcome your levels fear and achivements. This will help develop, build teamwork bring you out of your comfortable life. Really day out as part of a Rugby Club team building day. Well managed from a COVID protection perspective and really great staff. They were enthusiastic and handled a bunch of 10 year olds excellently. My daughter spent a few days here the site is beautifully maintained. She had a great time with lots of activities. The were world class and made my daughter's experience one she will remember for ever. Brilliant experience to have with plenty to do on site. Located and situated with beautiful stunning views. Own lake to do sports such as kayaking, canoeing. It is a residential place so sleep over is applicable when you book and pay but it'd fantastic thing to do in groups. High ropes, leap of faith to name but a few things they offer. Very clean accommodation with its own drying available to use. Just a fun activity Relatively basic in setup, but excellent value for money and well executed. Kids really enjoyed the on offer and we would certainly recommend. Instructor (Mark) was really with keeping the kids entertained. We drove 2 hours to get there, but was worth it. Covid safety procedures in place. Love this place. I have been to camp TO Whitemoor Lakes in 2022 and it's possible that I might to again this year for the Christian camp Unshakeable. This time I will come with a big beard 🧔🏻‍♂️ Right, I came here on a residential with my school and first off, it was a great experience with many fun to try. However, the first negative is visiting in winter, as quite a few of the platforms were frozen- so I wouldn’t visit December, January etc. The next negative is the dorms. Overall the dorms are pretty with sized beds and bunks however, if you are going to put a light switch OUTSIDE THE BATHROOM don’t bother as whenever I was trying to drop a bomb or have a shower my friends would just turn the light off. This really annoyed me. Also the locks on the bathroom. You genuinely may as well not have a lock as you could twist it from the outside and open it. This was also very annoying as whenever I tried to empty my bladder my friends were opening the door. Also the was really cold and it was even on the hottest setting. Overall a really 3 star place.🤙🏻 I love ❤️ how the way my kids love and my husband climbing ,the food as well and we got free snacks and had we did look at some interesting stuff. And if you go to this place no parents allow there so I am just saying, go to is fun adventure hike it is so beautiful. There were too many bugs. In changing rooms 3, there was a whole family tree of spiders and earwigs. As well as that, there are cobwebs everywhere outside. Also, in my friend’s room, when they first walked into their room, there were in the bed, they did get it cleaned though. DO NOT EAT IN THE BEDROOMS, my other friends ate in their bedroom and left their snacks on the shelf, and then later one ant appeared, they killed it and then suddenly 10 more came out. I found it hard to sleep, i was scared of the somehow coming into our BUT MAKE SURE YOU BRING ANT REPELLENT. It really REALLY helps as i used it and after using it not a single ant came into our room. My friends used bug spray but it didn’t work so make sure you use one that is for ants. The were AMAZING! I really enjoyed the zip wire. All the are really safe, my only complaint is about the activities. It was a bit annoying that when we when sailing or canoeing, i would be pretty much dry, but then they made a speed boat swim around us. That made huge waves which then made me really wet. This means you have to go into the changing rooms, but i wouldn’t recommend changing there because it is quite a small and as i said before, there are bugs. The best instructor is Greg. We could be sarcastic or make jokes and he would join in, he also wouldn’t force you to do something if you didn’t want to !😎 Next, the food. Most of the food was okay, but some wasn’t really that good. I liked the spaghetti and pizza, but the second breakfast didn’t taste that good. The eggs were soggy and flavorless, and the potato waffles tasted strange. The only thing that tasted that breakfast was the toast. There is also a small salad bar and salt and pepper packets. Overall, i enjoyed the day, not so much the nights, the were fun, but some stuff made me enjoy my experience less. Really has a sleep in and also allows adults and children. Edit: you have to book but its better to go in groups or in a school as it has a bunch of bedrooms so being on your own might mean you wasted money for just 1 person My son said, after his school trip here, the were fun and safe. But, he had extreme bedbug bites all over his body and there was many mosquitos and all around the room. If anyone wants to visit I would advise taking a bug repellent. the tastes like chemicals and i just couldn’t survive and the rooming was awful because i was with people i actually hate so bad Me and my friends were super excited only for it to be crushed when we entered our and saw some ants. Now there were only a few but then later when we came back after lunch there were EVERYWHERE. All over the door and floor near the entrance, we hadn't even eaten any snacks at all. A trusted adult called for a member of staff, and later when the member of arrived she sprayed ant reppelent a few times and told is we would be to go. We raised our concerns and she told us there's nothing more that they could do when there was TWO other rooms available that we could be moved to. Then in the evening were crawling all over the bottom bed so I had to then share a bed with my friend above me! All the were fun but I have a phobia of large lakes and during the I was forced against my will to get into the water, but that could just ne policy so I'm not too fussed. Overall it was nice except the really should be a health and safety issue! I have just finished a school trip here and it was not a experience I DO NOT RECOMEND.To start the food was not great with some of the meals being inedible, eg: pink chicken.when we first walked into the rooms we saw stains on the walls, floors and even on the bed. (There was even a blood stain on the shower curtain) When we put a fresh pair of socks on the bottoms would turn brown straight away due to the floors being very dirty. The showers were very small with the shower head being smaller then my 3 fingers. When we was trying to have fun in the hang out space we was straight away told off by staff, not in a very nice way.We was not informed about dressing properly in waters and was forced to take off my crocs to put on my Astroturf football boots, them shoes then got ruined due to all the and had to be thrown away. Many of my peers and myself bought extra snacks after reading reviews, we was then told we cannot eat those snacks in our dorms. Many people bought bug spray to help avoid bed bugs etc, but they were disallowed by due to the fire alarms being just above the beds. (This caused many of us to get bitten by many bugs) This was my third year here for Tourettes camp. The food was lovely as always, variety and you can always have seconds if you ask, I’ve never had complaints about the food. I love the venue as the layout is easy to understand and there's so many chill out areas. The beds are quite firm and loud/ creaky but I’ve never had trouble sleeping because of it. I’ve also never seen or bugs in the rooms- only spiders near the doors outside. There’s also so many to do including the fire pit, it was so fun to have the chance to abseil this year as it wasn't available before and I love doing archery and the zip wire. The instructors are always friendly and encouraging and so at dealing with our tics, they make the weekend so fun with games and challenges during activities, especially canoeing.
