Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. I didn't even know this place existed, and thats coming from a dedicated goer. The cast are amateur but you wouldn't know it, the scenery, bar and the well furnished is great. There is plenty of parking near by and you will not be disappointed by the and the price of the tickets. Have a gamble and take a really good night out at this fantastic Parked across the road, so don't know 5 Stars - A Fantastic Day Out! What a lovely experience at the Duchess Theatre! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we stepped in, with friendly staff and a charming, intimate setting that really draws you into the performance. The actors were outstanding – professional, passionate, and incredibly engaging throughout the show. It all started promptly and was perfectly paced, making for a smooth and enjoyable experience. Facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the prices were surprisingly affordable. Tea, coffee, and alcohol were all reasonably priced, which is a rare treat at a theatre. Snacks were budget-friendly too, so we could enjoy the show without feeling like we were overspending. Bonus points for free parking after 6pm – such a convenience! To top it all off, there’s a fantastic chip shop right across the road. We popped in before the show and it really rounded off a perfect outing. Highly recommend the Duchess for anyone looking for a delightful and affordable day (or evening) out! Excellent community For a small community they have some great performances and the professionalism of the team running the is superb. The is well maintained with modern sound and lighting which adds to the performance. Excellent little Lovely evening watching a production of Westside Story. It was a young cast of 14-21 year olds, but they did an amazing job. High energy performance, fabulous well done to everyone involved 👏 It's panto time (oh no it isn't) yes it is. Great place to see a lot of shows as well as the pantomime with a bar forctge interval refreshments. What a lovely venue. Good facilities. Great stage, super little balcony giving a cracking view of the stage. Went to watch & photograph a band tonight called Cranberry Flick. They were really good, bit of blues, rock & roll and lots of Christmas hits. You can't beat live music. Limited capacity but has tiered seating so wherever you sit you're not too far from the stage. Seated 5th row from the front we still found difficulty in hearing some of the dialogue, even though the stage was miked up from the front. It didn't help being Southern states dialect, as the was "A Streetcar named Desire" (a very good by the company). The I believe is staffed by volunteers who were very pleasant, polite and helpful. The entrance foyer has a few seats and tables overlooking a courtyard to the front of the and is served by a small bar with a selection of bottled alcohol, soft drinks, tea and coffee at very reasonable prices. The is wheelchair accessible and the nearest car park is just opposite the entrance. Went to watch our granddaughter in panto and found the very comfortable and friendly with plenty of parking nearby Excellent venue, cafe area and bar area nice size, clean and airy. Front desk a good size and well placed. Toilets clean and usable. A delightful place to see shows and meet friends Excellent little theatre. We are ao lucky to have this in Long Eaton. All sorts of shows from comedy, drama, musicals, bands, pantos & film nights. There is a fully licensed bar and afternoon tea sessions too. There is something for everyone. The Sister Act show was phenomenal. Tiffany was particularly awesome. The cast were very professional and appeared to be working as a team. The was quaint, smaller than imagined, but perfect in every way. First time at Duchess and I'm impressed. Hot drinks were available and a bar. Air conditioning was very much appreciated. Will definitely go again. Amazing young people production of Les Miserables the musical here tonight. The singing, staging and characters are all west end quality or in some cases I'd almost say better. Quite remarkable. Well done LEOS Youth Group. First visit will come again A nice cosy theatre, we saw The Sound of Music, it was very good and the children were very impressive. Loverly family friendly threatre. Brilliant threatre shows for everyone.
